Army of the Sands - Hazezon Tamar EDH

Commander / EDH Midrange Ramp RGW (Naya) Tokens

Bruxo

Maybeboard

-----|| Win Conditions ||-----
The deck has 2 main win conditions:
1. Damage by creatures entering the battlefield with Purphoros, God of the Forge or Impact Tremors.
2. Attack with a massive token army provided by Hazezon Tamar and other token generators, pumped by abilities.

Both win conditions are easily achieved by playing Hazezon and waiting a turn, so it's important to have at least 7 lands in the battlefield as soon as possible, therefore a suitable amount of ramp elements is necessary.

-----|| Playing with the deck ||-----
I've been successful with the current ramp that I get in each game, which helps when assembling all pieces that I require to win. This is a task that takes some time, so most of the game the deck will lay low until it's to late for my opponents to respond.
Also, before playing Hazezon, I have to assure that I have some way of killing him before my next upkeep, otherwise I could easily lose my whole army. To help me achieve that, I've added a good amount of cards with sacrifice abilities, like Ashnod's Altar, High Market, Perilous Forays, Altar of Bone, and others.
Haste is also a very important ability in this deck, since it will let me send an horde of Sand Warriors immediately after entering the battlefield and possibly finishing an opponent in the same moment.
To give some consistency to my deck and to let me do some stuff before Hazezon enters the battlefield, the deck is filled with Token Generators and other token synergies.
In the end, its pretty fun playing with the deck for someone who likes to lay low and seem threatless, and then surprise the opponents with a massive army!

-----|| Shouldn't you play with blink effects? ||-----
I'm aware that Hazezon and many of the cards in this deck would greatly benefit by having blink effects like Eldrazi Displacer paired with Strionic Resonator, but it doesn't fit my playstyle and I decided to build the deck in my own molds instead of going with the most popular approach.
