The plan:

  • Play a cat.
  • Play a stax thing.
  • Swing with cat.
  • Keep playing stax things and swinging with cat. More cats optional.

Unlike other decks that only deny some resources (such as Winter Orb in a deck full of mana rocks), this deck aims to deny as many avenues of play as possible, because we don't need anything else to win once there's a cat.

This is version 1. Still unsure of:

  • how much of each kind of removal there should be. this is somewhat a meta call, but for now i'd like to think that erring on the side of artifacts is correct.
  • how many cats there should be.
  • which nonstax cats should be included.
  • how many of each type of stax is correct.
  • which cards that are dead to my own stax should still be included (because pre-stax they're still great, like Mana Crypt).
