Curious to see if Marchesa stax is viable in a more competitive EDH environment. MLD is a major theme here. Not sure what all the best cards for that are. The glaring issue is poor matchups against fast spellslinger decks, but I'm still working out the kinks.

Endgame looks to be Luminarch scension, work up to an Elspeth ult, or Eldrazi. Eye of Ugin to be tutored up to enable them, or potentially cheated out via Nahiri ult. The Eldrazi will be used because it will really lock down the minimal lands via annihilator.

I haven't actually worked with the mana base yet so that's why it's mostly basics.

The other thing is I'm not sure how much effort needs to be put into protecting the Monarchy. Rn I'm relying on well timed removal, Ghostly Prison and friends, and the low amount of combat at high levels of EDH.

I'm also trying to decide which Planeswalkers may be worth playing because I think this is a deck that will actually be able to keep them around (because it tries to lock the opponents outta the game anyways).
