Relatively new to Magic. This is my first attempt at a Commmander deck. It started as a simple upgrade to the Merciless Rage pre-con and then spiraled into a card draw/recursion deck with less of a madness theme. I'm hoping it still functions relatively efficiently for card/discard despite reducing the # of madness cards.

I am aware that a few cards are way off theme (Westvale Abbey, Elbrus, Avatar of Woe, Reiver, and Dread Cacodemon). I wanted Dread as a win-condition/board wipe. Reiver as a board wipe. Avatar because she does sort of fit with the discard theme and is spot removal. Elbrus and Westvale...purely fun.

The playgroup is fairly casual. They won't be offended by Mike or Yawgmoth, but it's not the type that I want to be playing early turn wins. I purposely left out things that shut them down, early combos, and reduced their life totals to next to nothing without putting in a little work.
