First Update —April 26, 2019
This is the first update to my deck. I've added in some more Anthems and some more creatures that have inbuilt mana sinks, as I've found that I sometimes have nothing to do on my turn.
-
I might want a bit more late-game ramp and card draw, so I'll try out Dreamstone Hedron.
-
I'm getting more Anthem effects, so Spear of Heliod and Dictate of Heliod are getting added.
-
I needed more mana sinks so I'll be adding in Blaring Recruiter and High Sentinels of Arashin
-
I'm trying out some more lifegain, so Auriok Champion is in. Champion also has two devotion to White, so it goes well with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx.
-
I found that Artisan of Kozilek was too expensive and it sat in my hand most of the time.
-
I have a lot of tribes scattered through my deck with no consistent tribal strategy, so Coat of Arms, Metallic Mimic and Adaptive Automaton are getting cut.
-
I have found better non-conditional mana sinks than Luminarch Ascension.
-
In my playtests, I have almost never attacked with a creature alone, so Battlegrace Angel will be cut.
What else do you think I should change? What would you do?
Hope you like it!
Hey Hexaflexagon, the commander deck thread brought me here.
To answer the question you posed: my answer would be to focus on the creature aspect to try get the most out of Oketras abilityl, rather than go voltron. I think some Anthem enchantments or creatures will help you punch through with the attacks. Also, white lacks card draw alot, so amy artifacts you have will help you with that. Same goes for Mana ramp. Dreamstone Hedron does both on a budget.
I agree that the list looks solid and as you refine the focus towards the creature package, It will certainly take shape

I would reccomend Mistveil Plains as well as Knight of the White Orchid , Crib Swap , Tithe , Oath of Lieges , and maybe some board wipes the forever faithful Wrath of God . All in all, this is a pretty good deck.
