Token strategy —July 25, 2015
I moved more into a token strategy, to "swarm and overwhelm"

I still vote more cantrips so you can go crazy with all of your triggers on multiple turns before you burn out.

Me too! I'm trying to get a hand on those cards, they are not very common to come by :P

I would have even more of them than you have in your maybe board. The more the better really in my opinion

Crimson Wisps and Gallantry I feel are the only ones missing.

Have you considered Mirran Crusader?
Great beater with double strike and the protections

i'd use it in the mainboard instead of Mogis's Warhound, cause if needed i can keep it still to protect me thanks to his protections.the Warhound has to attack every turn and i personally don't like this thing :\

Mogis's Warhound is just a Valley Dasher without the haste. Like MattDovah said, I prefer to choose whether or not to send my creature swinging to its death. I'd rather have protection like Gods Willing, a bufferl ike Hammerhand, or simply more creatures as an aggro deck.
I mean, I get the idea of bestowing it on your commander, but then they just kill it. It seems kinda weak against experienced opponents.

Yeah, don't worry, I will replace Mogis Warhound as soon as I can.

Secure the Wastes looks great for this deck! Also going to try out Dragon Fodder, Radiant Purge, Center Soul, Myth Realized and Artful Maneuver in the maindeck and Rending Volley and Surge of Righteousness for sideboard.

Hey man, were you able to defeat geist's deck somehow using this a&c deck?

I have defeated Geist decks in Cockatrice, but most of the times I lost. You have to keep in mind, this deck is competitive but not tier 1.

Geist of Saint Traft is just a broken card, and I'm a jerk to say that anyone playing it as their commander just cares about winning. Unless you're playing Tier-1, comparing any other deck to Geist isn't fair.

This article devides commanders of TL in three categories: 1) decks to beat 2) Others vying for the top and 3) Fringe hopefuls
Anax and Cymede is in the "Fringe hopefuls" and I concur. Anyway, this is a really fun deck to play, and fairly budget friendly. I recommend it if you don't want to win every game, and love to swing with 15 damage with a creature by surprise.

Have you considered Slayers' Stronghold to help bring some additional utility from your mana base?

Yeah, but Anax already has vigilance. Do you think its worth it?
April 13, 2015 2:24 p.m.
It can help push additional damage through with your double strikers, vigilance is relevant to all your other creatures, and haste as well. It isn't as useful on Anax, but I think it has its benefits even on him - extra damage on a first striker can mean taking down bigger blockers.
