An Enchanting Grove of Idyllic Sun Energy

Casual Creatureless Enchantment GWU (Bant) Pillow Fort

Auphelian

Tired of your kitchen table having too much fun? Mindless Null wrecking the board? Want to make people never want to play Magic again? Well then, kind sir; If I may, might I suggest a little...

Take everything you know about pillow forts and kick it in the throat, because you're about to REALLY stax up some pillows.

The ideal concept behind this deck is using the tutors from Idyllic Tutor and Sterling Grove (as well as its protection) to bust out the combo of The Wheel of Sun and Moon + Energy Field lock. From there, it is essentially a toolbox deck revolving around dinkling about with your pretty little permanents.

Cards - how could you play this game without these expensive-ass little pieces of cardboard? <3

Tutors :

Idyllic Tutor - three mana to shove whatever you could possibly want into your greedy-ass little hand. I love it.

Sterling Grove - protects your stalemate-cons and lets you tutor for them. Sexy enough it makes me wish I was cardsexual.

Kruphix's Insight - watwatwatwatwat. While not necessarily a tutor, I don't think I've ever casted this and been disappointed. I reread the card several times before I believed it was real, just like my diploma. Seriously. I love it.

Pillows :

Ghostly Prison - Shut up. You know what this is and what it does, don't lie. Stops aggro, blah blah... a placeholder before the combo goes online.

Standstill - I laugh every time I play this card. Shenanigans will ensue literally no matter how you play this card. Played on turn two? Assemble the combo or wait for enough tutors, play lands, and then play your cards. Unless they have a button of hasters, they still won't even touch you. I only wish this trick would have worked on my uncle...

Solitary Confinement - Early game choker, late game secondary combo piece with Enchantress's Presence . It's fun, has cool art, and gives you shroud. Furvit cahrd evaaaa.

Rhystic Study - Make opponents think twice about casting their cards or you start drawing more things to make them regret not accepting that they should really just be paying the mana for it. Plus, look at how smug the art is.

Karmic Justice - Please. Wipe all of my enchantments. I can get more out, by all means; but how will you get all of your lands back?

Control and Denial :

Story Circle - More of a pet card of mine than anything, honestly. Stop direct damage from red, creatures... lotsa fun stuff.

Seal of Primordium - I like it. Use to destroy your own combo pieces and then replace them. Let the opponent think they're done and then metaphorically unzip your pants, urinate on their face, and insult the monogamous integrity of their mother.

Runed Halo - Protection from your worries, for the rest of your days. It lets you maintain a problem-free philosophy.

Rest in Peace - lol i liek ur reanimtater dack

Porphyry Nodes - If you ever feel like slowly clearing up a cluttered board or for general board maintenance, this is your one mana solution. Also, I like how the card looks.

Pendrell Mists - More at home in a stax deck... I'm feeling like I need to reconsider it, honestly.

Oblivion Ring - Well, I couldn't NOT put this in here. Aside from being a good card... It's O-ring, man. Just zwomp a doo bap things away.

Nevermore - Nope. Not even, brah. Nice Tempest of Light in your hand. Just keep it there and stare at the art. For me, please?

Hall of Gemstone Another card that, while it may be more at home in stax than the good ol' shoot-yourself fort, I have it in here anyway.

City of Solitude - As a man who tends to favor the blue side of the color wheel, I can dutifully say that this may be one of my favorite cards in the deck. No one likes blue mages--ESPECIALLY other blue mages.

Win Con :

Luminarch Ascension - Bear down upon thine foes, wielding the righteous might of complete dickhood! Watch as heathens writhe about in terror, unable to watch that single d6 roll up until angels are buried hilt deep in them!

Time Out - People will quit. Sometimes, it may even be yourself. Just make sure to let everyone know, even if someone did quit out, you are the winner and therefore better than everyone else.

Combo Pieces and Other Li'l Tiddlywinks :

Wheel of Sun and Moon - Prevents a mill win, you decking yourself, and damage with Energy Field.

Energy Field - Stop damage. Yay.

Lands - Mana is nice. I like mana.

Have fun, kiddies.
