Hi all! This is my fourth tackle with EDH, and the third deck I hope to build. Currently, I have two EDH decks, one Sydri, Galvanic Genius, one Kaseto, Orochi Archmage . So I was faced with a dilemma: what if someone wanted to play with me who felt Sydri was too complicated with all the combos and strange interactions? The answer, get another deck: Good ol' Tolsmir!

Bant has and always will be my favorite color combo, and always will be. I know this doesn't exactly qualify as Bant, but hey, I've at least got the colors in more than one deck!

The Game Plan

As per usual when it comes to making commander decks, instead of the normal card-by-card breakdown I usually do for other formatted decks, I'll give a summary:

The idea of this deck is "Keep it simple, stupid." That said, what could be more simple than making creatures bigger? Collective Blessing, Dictate of Heliod , Marshall's Anthem, Spear of Heliod , and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar all go towards the goal of making little things, bigger! Or in some cases, big things become monstrous, like giant fatties from Enlisted Wurm or Grove of the Guardian. We've also got a lot of little guys too, in typical Selesnya fashion.

If buffing enchantments weren't enough, we've got lords too! Our hallmark commander, Tolsimir Wolfblood , Imperious Perfect, and Wilt-Leaf Liege are just to name a couple.

So, how do you win with all these big guys? Keeping our original goal in mind, the answer is simple: Make em' fast and beat face!

The biggest issue this deck faces is board wipes and discard. In order to counter these, I have a few cards stuck in such as Loaming Shaman, Sun Titan, Tajuru Preserver , Caller of the Claw , etc.
