Looks fun. She'll play. She'll win. She'll have fun and continue to play until she gets bored with this deck. She'll look at your cards and start building her own decks. She'll dip into your good stash and build with that, unbeknownst to you. She'll start buying cards and her mtg obsession will out grow yours and then you'll ask yourself, "What have I created?" Brutal_B, Thanks. We've played a few games with my modern decks. She gets disappointed with a hand full of consistency :P Try to let her win most of the time to peek her interest. Last time we played she said she didn't the multiples of cards, so I figured it was time to get into commander.

Don't push it on her. Let her come around on her own. I must say it is nice being able to sit down whenever and play with the one you love. Just recently my wife has beat me 4 times in a row now. I must exact revenge.

Might I suggest going with Lyra Dawnbringer as the commander? For new players, life gain is a very popular theme. It's easy to understand, helps to put a buffer up that covers for misplays, ensures you're not the first player out of a multiplayer game, and helps get around the difficulty new players have treating life as a resource.

triproberts12 Lyra, once I can afford her, will be in the deck. Using her as commander is intriguing. I haven't updated the deck yet, but I was thinking of using Radiant, Archangel as commander over Avacyn, Angel of Hope .

dragonforce60 I was actually just looking into Fumigate . I do have a Terminus that I could add as well. I'm just stuck on what to take out for it. [Resolute Archangel] is going to be added to the deck when I get a chance to update it. I think I have Angel of Invention , I think I skipped over the life link part. Do I have enough Humans to make Angelic Overseer work to her full potential? I don't know. Worth looking into, but Aegis Angel would be the better of the two, wouldn't they?

Angel of Grace from the new set is a good Angel to use.

I'm considering that card for my Modern deck.

Looks like a pretty fun deck. I have spent the last few months building and revising a mono white Avacyn deck. The decklist almost exactly how I want it, aside from a couple tweaks to finish it.

Hey, I see Avacyn, Angel of Hope . Why not use her as Commander instead of Avacyn, Guardian Angel? Angel of Hope is a much better card; much more impact as a Commander.

There's several cards in the sideboard that are upgrades for cards in the main deck. Resplendent Angel and Lyra Dawnbringer can be a fantastic Angel engine in multiplayer Commander because Resplendent works on each of your opponents turns. These are two of the best Angels for Angel tribal; alone or together they have a lot of impact.

Angel of Serenity and Baneslayer Angel are two more of the better Angels. Because Serenity is a creature it can be recurred or reanimated this makes it a very good repeatable creature/graveyard hate removal spell. Herald's Horn , Urza's Incubator and Caged Sun are all upgrades for ramp. Serra Ascendant for one mana can be a real beating in 40 life Commander. Consider Angel of Sanctions ? It's an Angel Oblivion Ring that can be more easily reanimated.

My next suggestions are good support cards for mono white. Consider Smothering Tithe ? It's a great source of repeatable ramp for white in multiplayer Commander. Wheels can be a big part of some Commander matches and this card gives you a huge advantage against your opponents. Everyone in Commander wants to draw sometimes even a lot of cards and every time an opponent does they are not going to want to spend two extra mana for each draw just to deny you a treasure.

Consider Knight of the White Orchid , Mother of Runes and Aven Mindcensor ? Ramp and repeatable protection. Mindcensor makes your opponents tutors less effective even Fetch lands which is very helpful for you because white lacks tutors. Mindcensor helps to some what level the playing field.

With Angel of Hope as Commander you can take advantage of Hour of Revelation and Akroma's Vengeance which will wipe everything of your opponents and not yours. Armageddon also nasty when your lands are indestructible.

Cards to consider cutting:

• Angelic Field Marshal
• Chancellor of the Annex
• Sphere of Safety: only 8 total enchantments is not enough to utilize this for five mana.
• Guardian of the Gateless
• Angel of Invention: Angels are already big with evasion don't really need a five drop +1/+1 anthem.
• Pristine Angel: 4/4 for six mana who may or may not have protection is not worth it.
• Serra Avenger
• Flickerwisp
• Holy Mantle
• Banishing Light
• Oblivion Ring
• Angel's Trumpet: this gives your opponent's too much advantage with creatures in multiplayer.

Hey multimedia, thanks, I was actually just sitting down to put some of my sideboard in the deck as it was mail day! I had planned on swapping out Avacyn for Lyra Dawnbreaker as commander. Would you still suggest Avacyn, Angel of Hope as the commander? I was worried about castability.

I was banking on the taxing to have my opponent's attack each other instead of me with the trumpet. But I can see where you are coming from.

I mostly play with a small group of friends and we're just getting into commander, I have no problems waiting on Smothering Tithe and Aven Mindcensor , I just bought alot of cards >_<
