My take on American Control. Based on the standard U/W archetype, with red splashed in for Assemble the Legion, Counterflux, Mizzium Mortars, Warleader's Helix and Izzet Charm in the main deck.

Card Choices:
Keranos, God of Storms: Is not in my deck. I am not sold on him. Too many other decks that run God cards, so there will be a lot of removal for them ( Deicide , Revoke Existence, and such). As a win con, he will be unreliable at best. Jace, Architect of Thought and Sphinx's Revelation already give insane card advantage. If people are having wild success with him, I will be open to changing my mind, but as of now, I think he is worse than AEtherling in that spot.

Mizzium Mortars: Great removal for fast aggro and midrange decks. Gets rid of Stormbreath Dragon, Blood Baron of Vizkopa, Courser of Kruphix, and so much more!

Turn / Burn : Amazing removal for larger ramp decks, like G/R Monsters. this card deals with anything they can throw at you... Polukranos, World Eater, Stormbreath Dragon, and the like. It will also deal with God cards once your opponent hits their devotion, as well as tricky ones like Obzedat, Ghost Council and Desecration Demon.

Izzet Charm: This card is a jack of all trades. Spot removal for fast aggro decks, also gets rid of mana dorks in ramp decks. Used correctly it also serves as an effective Negate, AND it can loot. I can say that I have run into situations where I really didn't want this card in my hand, however, so it is one that might go away before it rotates out of standard.
