The Oracle text for Riku reveals something interesting: when a spell has been copied, any additional costs do not need to be paid again, but the exact same effect is duplicated. For instance, if Fireball is cast with x = 10, and the spell is copied with Riku's activated ability, you know have two Fireball s with x = 10. This deck seeks to take advantage of such interactions to deal insane amounts of damage, building up card advantage while setting up ways to capitalize on instant and sorceries. A bevy of counterspells should help protect integral pieces like Riku and enablers such as Swarm Intelligence and Primal Amulet  .

Huge damage combos are intended to work through the combination of cards like Mana Geyser , Seething Song , Brass's Bounty , and burn spells like Fireball , Comet Storm , and Devil's Play , with each spell being copied multiple times. Thus, this deck needs to ramp heavily, include lots of card draw, and have combo piece protection with cards like Lightning Greaves , Swiftfoot Boots , and of course numerous versions of Counterspell .

This deck is not finished, as I added far too many cards so I'd have better context in which to make cuts. I would welcome advice on suggestions/replacements, though I am on a budget so cards over $10 will probably not be considered.
