We're not unreasonable. I mean, no one's gonna eat your eyes.

Welcome to the monstrosity that is the Dimir Mill Commander.

While all of your petty little opponents squabble with their precious life totals and damage, we will be playing the long game, getting rid of all of their options while we sit high and dry, laughing as they realize the position that we have put them in. This deck utilizes practically every deck destroyer in the book to make our foes lose their minds and their decks. We use Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker, Phenax, God of Deception, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, Hedron Crab, Consuming Aberration, and of course, our commander, Szadek, Lord of Secrets. We also run Mindcrank so that the pointless and petty squabbles of out adversaries can further our own agenda.

Unfortunately, the downside comes when they realize what we are capable of, and in their simple rage, they try to take us out before we finish the job. This is where cards like Crawlspace and Propaganda come in, making it far more difficult for our foes to wipe us out. Riddlekeeper also provides a decent disincentive from attacking us. We also run Forced Fruition to simultaneously mill our enemies and make it more desirable to keep us around. To safeguard against recursion decks, we shall also run Leyline of the Void and Bojuka Bog. Finally, as a piece de resistance, we run Lazav, Dimir Mastermind to take advantage of the myriad cards that are being sent to graveyards.

Furthermore, since our commander, along with cards like Mirko Vosk and Ulamog, rely on attacking our opponents, we are carrying around enough equipment to enable them to safely and effectively do so. We run Fireshrieker and Grappling Hook to grant Szadek and Mirko Vosk double strike, as their abilities trigger when they deal damage, or, in Szadek's case, when he would deal damage. We run Whispersilk Cloak, Rogue's Passage, and Key to the City to prevent Szadek from being blocked or targeted by pesky removal spells, Trepanation Blade to mill more cards from our opponents and to boost the creature that it is equipped to, and we run Swiftfoot Boots for even more protection against removal.

That, my dear reader, is the primary purpose of this commander deck. The other cards are either counterspells, mill enablers, card draw, removal, staples, or some bizarre amalgam of the five. Feel free to make any adjustments to the formula as you see fit, as you all are more than capable of doing so. Now, go forth, my young apprentice, and show your foes how powerless they truly are before one such as yourself!

Suggestions

Updates Add

I've decided to come back to this deck after a bit of a break, and have integrated some of the remaining suggestions that had been left for me, while removing some of the cards that weren't working well enough for me in this deck. Enjoy!
