All out Defender

Description

This is the current design of my Defender deck. I'm slowly trying to acquire the cards to achieve the design of my other deck Nothing but Defender. I'm trying to replace the Palace Guard with Wall of Glare but I still need to acquire the Walls of Glare. Any input and/or +1s would be very appreciated :)

How about Wall of Denial ? I would think it's worth splashing blue for.

I was originally going to do that but I want to amass some of the blue cards I originally put into my design for the defender deck (the link is in this deck's description). I want to get more of the blue cards I had originally planned on putting in the deck before I put the blue into it. Thanks for the input though :)

Well, I see that you use a lot of creatures to defend and others to avoid the enemy from attacking. But also, a lot of effects of your creatures and enchantments come when they block. So what about, instead of avoiding the enemy from attacking, force him to, when you have a strong defense settled? What about this? Curse of the Nightly Hunt

Hmm you raise a good point... Originally my set up for the deck was just to deter any attackers so that I could start hammering away with Vent Sentinel . Although if I'm going to run Curse of the Nightly Hunt I may consider possibly splashing another colour? So that I could get cards in like Souls of the Faultless or Wall of Tears that would allow me to benefit even more from the Nightly Hunt's effect.

I recently came across the card Slumbering Dragon and I've been thinking that if I throw in some Curse of the Nightly Hunt s I should throw in the dragons to give the deck more versatility. It may not be a defender creature, but if I'm going to concentrate on making them attack I can murder them with a return fire.

I think that adding Slumbering Dragon is a good idea, because yo will add another win condition to the deck. I think that you should stay at 2 colors only, and if you are going to run the Curse of the Nightly Hunt , you should increase your number of Lightmine Field s and you will have a good control.

On the other hand, if you decide to keep your deck the way it is right now, i suggest you Ghostly Prison . Is a very annoying card, just as card:Norn's Annex.

I'm now considering switching out the Guardian Zendikon s. Maybe adding something like +1 Stalwart Shield-Bearers and +1 Perimeter Captain as some examples. Or just adding new creatures altogether like Order of the Stars or Torpid Moloch

There's a card called Rolling Stones and it could be good in your deck. It's on the edge of Modern (Eighth Edition) but your creatures having defender, but they can attack. It could be good. Also you might want to put in one or two Woolly Razorback from Coldsnap. If you block with it three times you have a 7/7 on your side of the field to attack with.
