Creature (1)

Who deep down inside doesn't love the ferocity and sheer power that only green mana can supply? But you may say " Mr.grizzly those creatures are just big and stupid". Well that's where you are wrong my friend. My creatures are quite intelligent so if you would lend me your ears I will tell you of them.Decks Record so far at FNM: 10-2

THE RAMP

Elvish Mystic This is one hard working elf, he gives me mana and is a 1/1 body that I can and have buffed up with Nylea to swing for damage in certain situations.

Whisperer of the Wilds he comes out for 2 and with ferocious triggered he gIves you 2 mana which goes a long way. Until then he helps the Mystic in making high mana costs payable faster.

Voyaging Satyr this thief of a creature (read the flavor text) is another mana summoner. But when this Satyr is on the field it has the unique ability to untap Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and turn alot of mana into a laughable amount of mana.

Courser of Kruphix while not technically ramp, this centaur is adept a scrying into the future and providing it's master with life when the land falls. He also gives me life for the land fall and 2 early devotion for Nykthos. With a 2/4 body on turn 2-3 he can easily provide an early barrier against aggro decks. He works well with Whisperwood Elemental, if I have a Shamanic Revelation in hand and Whisperwood is about to manifest something off the top I want then I can snag it right there.

THE BEASTS

Polukranos, World Eater the feared hydra of theros legend, Polukranos is summoned for 4 and comes out hungry. He is an extremely versitile creature being a ferocious trigger early, a 5/5 hitter or blocker early, and a way to deal with early threats, and he can be dropped on turn 3 with the proper ramp. Early Mantis Rider... Gone, Goblin Rabblemaster... gone.

Whisperwood Elemental a graceful being of the forest, its calls are answered by land, creature and spell alike. This guy is a game winner on his own. I often like to consider him the Monestary Mentor/Rabble master of green he give me a 2/2 colorless manifest creature every turn. This speeds up my deck, putting creatures out for possible combat tricks (like blocking with a 2/2 that becomes a 5/5 or Hornet Queen) ouch. Even better with Ugin in hand or on the field these creatures that are manifested are not affected by his exile ability and that equals instant board control in most cases.

Genesis Hydra this plant creature grows explosively, but knows to always bring a friend. I love Genesis Hydra! First off when he is cast, yes that's right cast, you search your deck for a creature with the cmc of Genesis Hydras X value. Meaning while Genesis Hydra can be countered the creature he grabs out is not affected. With Nykthos he gets HUGE and in midrange games a 20/20 genesis hydra is not uncommon at all. However we shouldn't over look using him in a pinch like acting him for 4 if needed against aggro possibly getting a Courser or maybe ramp, oh and don't worry I got 4 so use him when you need him.

Nylea, God of the Hunt this God is essential to her subjects. She is essential to my deck, giving my creatures trample cause let's face it who wants to swing with big creatures only to be chump blocked? Not only that but her devotion to become a 6/6 indestructible creature is 5! Yes 5, in a green devotion deck. It goes with out saying that she is a creature a majority of the time and being indestructible hard to remove even to board wipes. Give her 8 mana and she will give you a 5/5 Elvish Mystic with tramplefor the turn, hey they decided to board wipe not me. Her pump ability has helped me win games on numerous occasions.

Hornet Queen deep in the forest there are giant hornets that can kill almost anything with a touch of there venom. She is there fierce queen! Aside from being a staple in green decks she is my flying/Anything Defense. But being a Hornet she is not always content not swarming things and with a pump from Nylea she can attack heavy in the air. Oh yeah and she gives me bodies for Shamanic Revelation, which is pretty cool too.

THE NON CREATURE SPELLS.... WELL SPELL

Shamanic Revelation if the creatures are the material of this deck shamanic revelation is the glue. It gains me 4 life for every creature of power 4 or greater and draws me cards equal to the number of creatures on the board. Now think about the ramp, creatures including hornet tokens and manifests, lands that Nissa turns in to creatures and you will see that by turn 6-7 I am usually drawing a new hand of 7 or more. The latter in the game the more I draw and the more life I get and it's even better when you draw a Shamanic Revelation off of a Shamanic Revelation, with an easy 10 mana from ramp or Nykthos this let's you draw again for your wincons or an answer to the current board state... Which brings us to the planeswalkers.

THE PLANESWALKERS

Nissa, Worldwaker she is the life of the forest and her songs make the forest my army. Nissa is a very versatile card for me, giving me mana to create a more dominant presence or a 4/4 with trample to start pushing the damage. All for only 5 mana is not that bad. Oh yeah and her and Ugin work hand in hand, her 4/4 lands don't get exiled by Ugins ability either! That means we can turn the board around and have those big old lands to help us hit on an empty board... nice. Her final is sick and usually means that for my opponent I will be swinging for usually around 40ish damage trample next turn, so yeah good game.

Ugin, the Spirit Dragon the great master of dragons from the plane of tarkir, Ugin bends reality to his will, exiling anything from exsitance at a whim. Ugin has finally found a place that he can call home in this deck. With the mana I can make Ugin can come out on turn 5, and proceed to ruin your opponents hard work. But no matter when he comes out he wins me games that i am behind in and ensures victory when I am ahead. Also this deck works so well with Ugin and if you play him right there are several creatures that his exile ability wont touch. He rolls up 2 for a lightning strike to the opponent or creature and his final helps you win more, ALOT more, oh yeah and since he rolls up for 2 from 7 and his final is 10 thats right his final usually has him still hanging out on the battlefield. The ability to ramp up to Ugin and to fetch him with Genesis Hydra and Shamanic Revelation mean that he is usually coming out before the opponent expects it.... or is ready! ALL BOW TO UGINS MAGIC FOR WHEN HE COMES VICTORY IS AT HAND!!!!!!
