Maybeboard

This deck was made by just random collection junk. I have only traded a bit for thing and am still experimenting.

The goal is to reanimate things with big impact, and use a basic aggro strategy to outpace the competition. Example of 'big impact' Noosegraf Mob 0/0 coming in as 5/5 that leaves tokens behind.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Recent changes: Out: Valor in Akros, Call for Unity In: Cathars' Crusade, Elspeth, Sun's Champion

*WIP* Names not set, obviously... if you happen to see this before completion input is appreciated. Sorted by catagory, some similar cards may fall under multiple areas. No custom catagories have been created as of yet.

**Creature**

Crovax the Cursed: Trade greater power for the sacrifice of others, and should he falter, Alesha can pull him back too. Also offers a bit of evasion with optional flying.

Disciple of Bolas: Need Cards and Life? Sac a critter.

Tymaret, the Murder King: Have your creatures die on your own terms. If someone wants to kill your creature, hurt them back.

Viscera Seer: Sac a critter to see the future.

Yahenni, Undying Partisan: Boardwipe survival! And when everyone else is gone, he gets bigger.

**Spells**

Costly Plunder: Trade stuff for new stuff, then get the old stuff back in other ways.

**Artifact & Enchantments**

Ashnod's Altar: Sacrificial Ramp... if only it we colored.

Vampiric Rites: More trading cards for cards, and a bit of lifegain.

**Creature**

Miasmic Mummy: Why be the only one discarding?

**Spells**

Buried Alive: Arguably this could be classed as a tutor, just in a different way. This is nice to get to our allstars.

Cathartic Reunion: Drawback you say? Grave Fodder says I.

Faithless Looting: Loot, then Loot again.

Tormenting Voice: So many artworks, and not allowed a playset. More looting though.

Planewalker

Nahiri, the Harbinger: A one for one trade, can even get points without discarding.

Aside from the obvious Alesha ability...

**Creature**

Karmic Guide: Paired With Alesha, its a 2 for 1 special.

**Artifact & Enchantments**

Phyrexian Reclamation: This is mostly for when/if Alesha becomes expensive. It can still be helpful with others.

While all the creatures here are able to be brought back with Alesha, these are the All Stars.

**Creature**

Ebonblade Reaper: No drawback when brought back with Alesha.

Gray Merchant of Asphodel: I've tried to make as much Black Devotion here as possibly to get maximum effect from him.

Master of Cruelties: Doesn't have to attack alone when brought back with Alesha.

Noosegraf Mob: Comes in as a 5/5, shrinks as players casts spells only to leave behind 2/2 chump zombies. Bring it back enough times and it can get out of hand.

Raving Dead: You can select who you attack when you bring it back with Alesha.

**Creature**

Agent of Erebos: Grave hate, because there can only be one of us using the graveyard.

Anathemancer: Because who doesn't have Nonbasics? Even the mono players are bound to have some.

Mardu Woe-Reaper: More targeted grave hate. (On the short list).

Thief of Blood: Superfriends, and +1/+1 counter decks beware! Sure we have enough of our own counters, but they can all be retrieved too.

**Spells**

Encircling Fissure: Political Fog

Make a Stand: Anti boardwipe mostly, but it has its uses in a pinch.

**Creature**

Archetype of Courage: On it's own, it makes sure we come out on top of any chump blockers. Paired with it's black counterpart below, Everything dies.

Archetype of Finality: The black counterpart from above.

Burnished Hart: Paired with Alesha, you can fetch basics til they're gone.

Gonti, Lord of Luxury: A good bit of fun this can be. You'd most think it were Blue.

Harsh Mentor: Infinite combo stopper.

Knight of the White Orchid: This becomes better once the land base improves because he can fetch a plains card.

Liliana's Shade: Ramp and mana sink (could really use an Urborg here)

Mindclaw Shaman: Casting other peoples spells is always fun.

Priest of the Blood Rite: The priest becomes the blood rite when we sac and return him constantly for a swarm of 5/5 demons.

Siege-Gang Commander: AKA Goblin Fligger

Lightning Greaves: One of Alesha's Insurance Policies. #BuildAroundCommander

Swiftfoot Boots: See Above

Whispersilk Cloak: Insurance + Evasion.

Blighted Fen: Great after a Board wipe when someone has their lone Indestructable critter left.

My decks are always evolving, suggestions are always welcome. Here is a break down of considerations. Now I do have reservations about adding creatures Alesha cant't retrieve herself at the moment, mostly because she's the main recurrence option.

W.I.P.

Here I will try to explain choices as best I can, some I know what to switch and am just waiting to acquire. Others I'm unsure about so suggestions are welcome in that aspect.

***What I Know to Change***

Solemn Simulacrum: In place of Either Knight/Orchid or Lily's Shade.

***What I Don't Know to Change***

Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit: Doesn't effect the board immediately, which makes her not a likely target to return with Alesha.

Anger: Again, no immediate impact on the field, and while the GY effect is nice they GY is subject to exile.

Arcbound Overseer: This is nice as it comes in as a 6/6, however we lack in artifact creatures to pass counters to.

Boros Charm: Safe from oars wipe? Push commander damage? Yes please!

Clockwork Dragon: This is great to pull back with Alesha as it skips the attack trigger and is a mana sink.

Custodi Soulbinders: One I am unsure of as it always depends on the entire board state.

Drana, Liberator of Malakir: Drana is good for a few things: ability isn't attack oriented, evasive, and Black devotion.

Elspeth, Sun's Champion: Token spewing? Check. Hit big things that misses most of ours? Check.

Ignition Team: Because who doesn't play non basic lands...

Iroas, God of Victory: If you read above, and I hope you did, this is not something readily pulled back with Alesha, but the ability is fantastic.

Key to the City: Discard outlet, evasion, and draw, sign me up.

Liliana, Heretical Healer  : Budget reasons keep me from adding this one.

Living Death: Again, a wallet size thing.

Mardu Ascendancy: We're always attacking so... and protection from soft wipes?.

Mask of Memory: Tormenting Voice on a beatstick? Works for me.

Merciless Eviction: Not sure I'd ever want to exile my own creatures. However there are the other options.

Mortify: More removal is always better.

Panharmonicon: So many triggers, so little space.

Path to Exile: Removal.

Reconnaissance: Mostly for Aleshas sake because commander tax gets expensive.

Recruiter of the Guard: Always makes sure we have something in our hand to discard and recur.

Reveillark:. The other half of the Karmic Guide combo... not exactly an infinate combo kinda guy.

Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker: Having trouble deciding whether or not the emblem is worth it.

Sewer Nemesis: Fun thing about him is I can choose myself if there are no other big piles in the yard.

Skullclamp: Good yes, necessary...not sure.

Sol Ring: Staple, need more.

Talisman of Indulgence: a mana rock that pings me if I need color... hmmm.

Terminate: More removal.

Thought Gorger: Again, unsure about the "discard your whole hand" clause.

Unburial Rites: This would give us another recurrence option.

***Previously Used***

These are cards I have used and am not sure I want to let go of just yet.

Feat of Resistance: Kind of acts as a white counterspell or evasion vs a certain color

Palisade Giant: be better if I had a way of flashing it in I think but it has its uses, like saving our commander.

Sin Collector: this would be better if it hit all opponents, however, can be good to get rid of wipes or combo pieces. Being only spell cards however... it has whiffed more often than not.

Blood Artist: This I feel would require more dedication to, as in an aristocrats (sub)theme.

**Dominaria**

Dauntless Bodyguard: Indestructible commander on attack, sure!.

Baird, Steward of Argive: could be an interesting piece of tech.

Phyrexian Scriptures: Could work...

Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle: while not an immediate impact on the field I think we have enough historic spells it could work.

Whisper, Blood Liturgist: 2 for 1? Tokens maybe.

Final Parting: Double tutor?.

Siege-Gang Commander: I realize I have one, but u want this art more.

**Battlebond**

Diabolic Intent: Sac to tutor, could work.

Last One Standing: Seems kinda ridiculous, but fun too.

Fan Favorite:Again, ridiculous, but could be fun.

Luxury Suite: Dual Land.

**M19**

Detection Tower: Sacrifices color for utility, useful to return things that otherwise cannot be targeted.

Desecrated Tomb:.
