Alesha who Smiles at Jank

Commander / EDH* RBW (Mardu)

ktbh4jc

You say graveyard, I say toolbox. Alesha isn't actually necessary to win, but she makes all our combos much harder to deal with.

The combos

An '<>' indicates a piece that can be returned to battlefield with an attacking Alesha. Sac Outlets: Spawning Pit, Goblin Bombardment, Ashnod's Altar, Viscera Seer<>, Yahenni, Undying Partisan<>

Cards I have ordered but aren't here yet (so I will include the combos here) Reveillark, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker<>

Murderous Redcap<> + Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit<> or Cathars' Crusade and a Sac Outlet. Infinite Damage.
1. Redcap deals two damage on ETB.
2. Sac it to outlet.
3. Comes back because of persist.
4. Anafenza or Crusade give a +1/+1 counter on it, removing the -1/-1 from persist.
5. It deals damage on ETB.
6. Rinse and Repeat until they ded!

Sun Titan + Fiend Hunter<> + Sac Outlet gets infinite ETBs of both creatures and infinite death triggers.
1. Play Fiend Hunter exiling Sun Titan.
2. Sac Fiend Hunter
3. Sun Titan returns to battlefield
4. Return Fiend Hunter to battlefield, exiling Sun Titan.
5. Rinse and Repeat.
If Sac Outlet is Goblin Bombardment, this deals infinite damage. If there is a Zulaport Cutthroat<> or Cruel Celebrant<> on the field, it gives you infinite drain. If there is a Panharmonicon out, you can return all permanents CMC 3 or less to the battlefield and blink another creature infinitely (doing infinite damage if you blink Murderous Redcap<>, locking your opponents off of cards if you blink Tidehollow Sculler<>, locking them out of enchantments with War Priest of Thune<> or artifacts with Manic Vandal<> (although his ability is not a may, so you could end up having to blow up your own stuff), pulls all basic lands out of your deck if you have a Teramorphic Expanse or Evolving Wilds). Forces your opponents to sac all their dudes if there is a Dictate of Erebos on the field.

Karmic Guide<> + Reveillark + Sac Outlet: Infinite death and ETB, return all creatures from graveyard to battlefield.
1. Karmic Guide enters, returning Reveillark
2. Sac Karmic Guide. 3. Sac Reveillark, returning Karmic Guide and some other creature from graveyard. 4. Rinse and Repeat.
If Sac Outlet is Goblin Bombardment, this deals infinite damage. If there is a Zulaport Cutthroat<> or Cruel Celebrant<> on the field, it gives you infinite drain. If there is a Panharmonicon out, you can return all creatures to the battlefield, saccing them and bringing them back infinitely (doing infinite damage if you have Murderous Redcap<>, locking your opponents off of cards if you have Tidehollow Sculler<>, locking them out of enchantments with War Priest of Thune<> or artifacts with Manic Vandal<> (although his ability is not a may, so you could end up having to blow up your own stuff), exile all opponents libraries with a Gonti, Lord of Luxury<>). Forces your opponents to sac all their dudes if there is a Dictate of Erebos on the field.

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker<> + Restoration Angel: Infinite hasty copies of the Angel. Swing away. They die at the end step, so if you have Zulaport Cutthroat<> or Cruel Celebrant<> out you get infinite drains to get around cannot attack triggers. Could sac them to Goblin Bombardment.
1. Tap Kiki to make a hasty Angel copy.
2. Angel copy untaps Kiki on ETB. 3. Rinse and Repeat forever.

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker<> + Combat Celebrant: Infinite combat steps. 1. Tap Kiki to make a hasty Combat Celebrant copy. 2. Exert the copy to untap Kiki Jiki and get an extra combat step. 3. Rinse and Repeat forever. Worth noting that you get an extra attacking copy every turn, so you can get around blockers so long as you get some attacks through unblocked first.

Alesha, Who Smiles at Death + Master of Cruelties<> in the yard. Instant kill a player who has no blockers.
1. Swing with Alesha.
2. Bring back Master tapped and attacking.
3. Their life becomes one when they declare no blockers.
4. Alesha smack. They ded.

So that's the final turn, but how do you get there?

Protecting Alesha

Alesha only has two toughness, so she dies a lot even with that first strike. We need to fix that. Restoration Angel gives us lets us remove her from combat after getting her attack trigger. Rogue's Passage gives her unblockable (also works to get Master of Cruelties<> or whoever else you bring back through unblocked).Boros Charm and Unbreakable Formation can make her indestructible. Basilisk Collar gives her that sweet combo of First Strike and DeathTouch that makes you hard as hell to kill in combat.Skullclamp and Sunforger boost her power, which helps protect any first striking creature. Whispersilk Cloak makes her unblockable and hard to untargetable. Swiftfoot Boots gives her hexproof. If we have Selfless Spirit<> out, we can sac it before attack, and then bring it right back tapped and attacking.

Filling the Yard

With Alesha at the helm, the yard is almost a second, better, hand! Let's fill it! Stitcher's Supplier<> and Perpetual Timepiece are quick ways to put some random stuff in the yard. However what we really like is specific discard. The best card for that is Buried Alive. Grab three cards from the deck and just yeet them into the yard. We can throw a whole combo into the yard and get it back with Alesha. (note, this is a bad idea because it takes three turns unless you have other tricks to pull off). We also fill the yard with our card advantage! Cathartic Reunion, Faithless Looting, Tormenting Voice, and Smuggler's Copter. Diabolic Tutor and Mastermind's Acquisition both tutor, so we could get something specific that we want to discard.

Rocks and Ramp

Orzhov Signet is fun because it taps for enough to activate Alesha. Boros Signet, Chromatic Lantern, Darksteel Ingot, Commander's Sphere, Fellwar Stone, Mana Geode, Sol Ring, Talisman of Indulgence, and Myriad Landscape all work to fix our mana. Kor Cartographer<> can get all our plains, and it returnable with Alesha.

Other funstuffs

Bone Shredder<> dies each turn, so it's perfect sac fodder. Plus since it really only matters for it's ETB, you get to kill a nonblack creature every turn.

Fiend Hunter<> and Tidehollow Sculler<> have a fun interaction where if you sac them before their etb resolves, they permanently exile the thing with no way to get it back.

Dusk / Dawn doesn't kill most of our board, so it's a mostly one sided wipe. It does however kill Alesha.

Slaughter the Strong lets us keep our Alesha and sac everything else, which is usually benefitial because we can just yeet them back with Alesha.

Mentor of the Meek<> works with something like 24 creatures in the deck.

Grtand Abolisher<> forces them to have an extra counter spell the turn we combo off or we just win.

We are super weak in the air. Priest of the Blood Rite<> makes us a bit stronger by dropping a demon pretty much every turn.

Panharmonicon works with something like 18 creatures.

All in all, this is a fun deck that has a good enough win-rate in my meta. If you like an interactive and think-filled game of Magic, this is the deck for you.
