Flood of Tears is the poor mans cyclonic Rift. But in a deck built around flood of tears, it can be better than cyc Rift with an omniscience in hand. What I missed when flood of tears was spoiled, is that it let's you put ANY PERMANENT from your hand onto the battlefield. NO RESTRICTIONS!!!! It can be an eldrazi, blightsteele colossus, razaketh, it can literally be any nonland permanent.

So I called badboy813 and asked, what's the best nonland permanent to cheat in? Actually I couldnt form the full sentence before he blurted out omniscience.

Best commander for such shenanigans? Alela, duh. You basicly fill your board with stax pieces that can effect you because you know your going to flood of tear them back to hand.

Get Alela out and all the artifacts and enchantments you can. The tokens dont really matter at first, they will disappear in the flood. Cast Flood of Tears bounce your board back to hand, put omniscience out for FREE! Then get Alela back out and proceed to drop free spells and get free flying tokens. I'm not a fan of coat of arms normally, but now would be the best time to play it. I put an extra turn in as a way to bypass summoning sickness for all the faeries.

Getting to this point requires you to know this deck inside and out. It also requires you to know your opponent's decks. Having the right Stacks pieces can be crucial. Knowing what answer's you have for every possibility will take a little time, but is an absolute necessity to be able to pull something like this off.
