ajani life revolt

Unformat GW (Selesnya)

Ajani lifegain/revolt speed beatdown deck. not standard legal. just a fun standard style deck.

The idea is to play a bunch of creatures and attack every turn. revolt buffs your creatures if someone dies. You have a couple of tools to get around things that would upset you -signal pests boost early game attack -revolt mechanic boosts creatures and gives you added attack dmg/draw -lifegains/pristines/Ajani pridemates are a nice combo, providing multiple counters per turn -lifegains/pristines/rest for the weary + reclaim give you a lot of lifegain for not much cost -reclaims can pull 1 and 2 drop creatures/enchants back from the grave -aid from the cowl/wild pair/increasing devotion allows you to lose creatures late game while still maintaining a big battlefield -inspiring roar/Ajani/ridgescale give you counters every turn. -Ajani's aid will get you Ajani nearly every duel

Strong Combos/ Synergy in this deck: -Ajani's Pridemate + lifegain -Ajani gains +1+1 each time you gain life. -Rest for the weary + reclaim -Rest is potentially 8 life turn 2. with reclaim it can be another 8 life turn 3. 46 life turn 3? yes. -Signal Pest + Revolt mechanic -Signal pest's battle cry and unblockable nature make it a very good combo for the revolt mechanic. -adds a lot to the early game. don't be afraid to lose your creatures -Increasing Devotion + Inspiring Roar + Signal Pest -Increasing Devotion spawns 5, and then 10 with its flashback mechanic. you will probably live long enough to utilize its 9 cost flashback. Inspiring roar buffs all of your tokens/creatures. signal pest makes them stronger every time you attack. -Ajani Valiant + Ajani's Aid gives you a very strong chance of using this planeswalker each duel. his +2 is great, his -11 is great if you can get it off, you will probably win. -lifelink/pristines/rest's add up to a lot of life quickly.

One weakness I've noticed is that you can be overpowered by buffed flying creatures if you aren't careful. The idea is to force their flying creatures to block by attacking every turn. Lifegain offsets this a bit. -can't have everything in a deck right?

Some potential sideboards: -low cmc whites - Mistmeadow Skulk, White Knight, Knight of Meadowgrain , Silver Knight, Mirran Crusader -Splinterfright - I think it would scale well with the Revolt mechanic. + Reclaim's -Concerted Effort or Armored Ascension to deal with flyers. - AA probably has too high of a cmc to be viable -Lanowar elves, Awakening Zone, some kind of mana ramp would help this deck a bit

I didn't make a sideboard section because I haven't really had the chance to play it enough to know what to take out.

I haven't gotten to play a TON of duels with this deck yet but it has been interesting. It actually holds it's own against my speed Vampires. Which is saying something. Turn 1 Vampire Nighthawk with Dark Ritual + turn 2 gets buffed by Unholy Strength or Dark Favor, or BOTH by the next turn, potentially giving you a 7/5 flying deathtouch lifelink turn 3. Gatekeeper of malakir and vampire hexmage to deal with creatures and counters, severely hindering opponents abilities to slow your onslaught. - Maybe i'll upload that one later.

If you like this deck please comment or upvote. Not top tier by any means but a pretty strong/fun deck and best of all it's VERY CHEAP TO BUILD! Probably around 30$ if you were to buy the Preconstructed deck and the singles necessary for this one.
