- 4x Champion of the Parish
- 3x Hellrider
- 3x Kessig Malcontents
- 4x Kruin Striker
- 4x Silverblade Paladin
- 3x Stonewright
- 3x Zealous Conscripts
This is a prototype of a deck that i will use on standard.
I think to use:
- 1st turn: Plains, Champion of the Parish
- 2nd turn: Mountain, Kruin Striker for 2 dmg
- 3rd turn: Plains or Mountain, Thatcher Revolt for 13 dmg
Can anyone help me to improve this deck??
I've played yesterday at Standard.
It was terrible!!! LOL, 1win, 3 loose.
I have a lot of trouble with mana. I went to mulligan in every single match at least one time. :-(
I have the following recomendations for this deck:
-3x Kessig Malcontents for +3 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
-1x Burn at the Stake and -3x Gather the Townsfolk for +4 Pillar of Flame
-1x Mizzium Mortars and -1x Oblivion Ring for +2 Searing Spear
What do you think?
Have anyone any other recomendations for this deck?
I've played this deck yesterday in the FNM and i have a terrible (bad) performance. :-(
It was (2w/0d/3l).
In the first i've played with a slow izzet, it was easy.
In the second i've played with a GBW aggro, it was hard, but i win.
The third i've played with a mono-white exalted, and i loose 2-0. So frustrating.
The fourth match i loose with a zombie, and the fifth with a BW exalted.
I think i have get short with mana (maybe i need 22?), and maybe i need something more for firsts rounds, and more removal. What do u think?
I had the same prototype, but I couldn't finish it. May I suggest Gather the Townsfolk . Why? It makes the champ stronger and it is a combo with Kessig, now I would also suggest some burns spells to make you deck a bit faster, and finally Vigilante Justice to burn your opponent with the tokens and all the creatures you summon.

Also i have trouble with card:Commander's Authority. Is expensive and is only usefull with card:Cathars' Crusade.
What do you think i should remove?

Hellrider , Instigator Gang Flip and Reckless Waif Flip all would be great cards to help speed up the game and end the game. i know Clifftop Retreat is expensive but i made the plunge to get a play set and it is worth it. Burn at the Stake is also a good option. hope these suggestions help you out.

What cards do you think that I should remove?

well if ur going to be playing mostly with friends then i would say pass on the Cavern of Souls but if you do want to take this to an FNM or any other event then they are a must. i have two in my deck and would love to have a play set but like you budget is key. i would get rid of the Somberwald Vigilante for the Reckless Waif Flip minus the card:Commander's Authority and a copy of card:Cathars' Crusade and put in two Instigator Gang Flip you will find urself loving that card in playtest. it will also lower ur mana curve too. and if you find you like them i would pass on the card:Cathars' Crusade at that point you will have an empty hand and the counters won't be doing much sadly. in that case i would up the number of Reckless Waif Flip and Hanweir Lancer if you don't have a Silverblade Paladin paired with the Kruin Striker than it is a nice back up, first strike and trample. hope this helps you out!
if you want to check out my deck list that i have here it is @red/white humans post rotation

I use the same tactics in my own deck, Goldnight Strike. You could check it out if you want. I use Increasing Devotion , as well as some removal such as Searing Spear and Oblivion Ring . Keeps the deck versatile. :)

I agree with most of what Pappasmurf91 said, except for the Reckless Waif Flip . It would be good for you to put it in, tough, if you want to keep the card:Cathars' Crusades you should slow the deck down, and add some red burn spells and some anti-control spells, like Rootborn Defenses and sideboard Rest in Peace . If you want to pick the pace up, it say take out the Cathar's Crusade, some of the removal and add some Hellrider s and Gather the Townsfolk .

Looks pretty good. I'd take out 1 Oblivion Ring an main 1 card:Cathars' Crusade. It would be good to draw into mid game to buff up the token's.

In an aggro deck such as yours, your tempo seems too heavily reliant on land. Its generally better in aggro decks that cant afford to miss a play to splash a color rather than 50/50 splitting. In other words it hurts us aggro players alot more to have to wait an extra turn to play our turn 1/2 drop than it would for a control player.
So, I would recommend focusing your first two or three turns more on either white or red, and upping that respective colors land count. You might have to sacrifice a creature or two but it should increase the reliability of the deck for you overall

zandl, you are right, but i need to find them (and find the $ to buy them! LOL)

Check out my RW Boros deck: deck:rw-boros-assault, it's a blast to play.
One big suggestion I have for you is Lightning Mauler instead of Kruin Striker . Lightning Mauler helps push the aggro over the edge in this deck. If you prefer more durability, Nearheath Pilgrim gives you a nice padding of health to protect against burn/other aggro decks.
Swing for 11!

I don't know about you, but, Ash Zealot is looking really sexy right now, and sure to gain value when boros comes out. Also, you gave me the inspiration to come up with my own boros deck deck:boros-humans-with-torches, look at it for ideas.
