Not all that glitters is gold...but steel
This is my competitive Affinity deck that I have been working on for little over a year, mostly to obtain the cards necessary to make it competitive. I have been playing artifacts in Standard for over 5 years and I have always wanted to break into modern but haven't had the budget to do so until recently. Please let me know what you think and don't forget to +1
MAINBOARD
0 Drops- Memnite
+
Mox Opal
+
Ornithopter
With the 10 free drops in this deck getting Metalcraft isn't hard to do.
Steel Overseer- This guys is the lord of lords, a continuous pump makes every the lowly Ornithopter into a beast.
Master of Etherium- The other artifact lord in this deck.
Etched Champion- This guy is a star in this deck, his protection is a real problem in my meta cause not many ppl run board wipes.
Cranial Plating- Draw into one of these early game and your opponent might as well scoop. I have gotten a 6/1 Vault Skirge on turn 2, that was a fun win.
Vault Skirge- Speak of the devil! This guy is a great shock, one drop. ya you pay 2 life but you get that back in one attach with Cranial Plating attached to it.
Galvanic Blast- Cause every deck needs a finisher and this has great synergy with artifacts.
SIDEBOARD
Grafdigger's Cage- Dredge is a shitty match up for any deck, 9/10 I can out run it but I like to sideboard in this card just in case.
Torpor Orb- I hate Snapcaster Mage, like with a fiery passion!
Relic of Progenitus- Graveyard hate helps slow down many a deck in my meta.
Wear / Tear- Stony Silence shuts this deck down and I just can't have that, also considering sideboarding another just to have a playset for the enchantment hate.
Whipflare- Its a big ol middle finger to all aggro decks like red deck wins.
Welding Jar- to help with the artifact hate.
Spell Pierce- cause who doesn't need counters in their sideboard.
