Want to play this compet, may be viable, unsure.
Dream hand - 3 Swamp, 1 Hope of Ghirapur, 1 Metallic Mimic, 1 Gifted Aetherborn, 1 Fatal Push
This deck is meant to be a healthy mix of strong removal and early game presence, with strong low costing creatures and combo potential.
-Creatures-
Clearly Metallic mimic is one of the best cards in the set and greatly enhances any tribal decks. This enhances the already good low drops into stronger copies. Having out multiple Metallic mimics in the early game makes this deck wild.
Hope of Ghirapur is meant to shut down control decks, as well as the Saheeli Rai combo deck.
Vengeful Rebel comboed with the Evolving wilds is good for a free revolt effect for control.
Aetherborn Marauder provides a large drop for late game, or even mid game if you get the metallic mimics and weaponcraft enthusiasts.
Demon of Dark Schemes is purposed as a late game bomb to help finish if Aetherborn Marauder is killed/ if you just need more flying damage to finish.
-Land-
Aether Hub is meant to give extra energy for when Demon of Schemes is played. It has no other purpose and in a mono colored deck I don't mind having the generic mana producing lands.
The Evolving Wilds are meant to combo with the revolt cards.
-Spells-
The removal that I run is pretty straight forward, fatal push is an insane card that will see play in any black deck, and with evolving wilds becomes even more potent.
Only 2 grasps of darkness because there is a lot of removal in the form of - counters with the Vengeful rebels
Ruinous Path for creature and more importantly planeswalker removal in case of decks running the Saheeli combo.
Yahenni's Expertise because Languish is dead, and you get to play a 3 cost card for free. Nuts.
Liliana is used for course because why would you not use her in a black deck.
