Beastmaster's Ascension token ramp. Fun overkill!!!
How it works:
Depending on your opponent, you either want to a) get out Beastmaster Ascension ASAP and attack with tokens and creatures to charge it. Or b) wait until you have 7 or more creatures on the board, drop BA, and swing for 35+ damage. This is an Aggro deck. Beat em' up!!!
Sarkhan Vol gives my creatures Haste, allows me to steal threats, and can go ultimate for flying Dragon tokens.
is a 3/2 Haste AND fetches a free creature or enchantment for 4 CMC. Excellent. Too bad it's banned in Modern and was removed from the deck.
Siege-Gang Commander is a great utility card, as he makes three 1/1 Goblins AND I can sac them to deal 2 damage to target creature or player. Bye-bye Insectile Abberation.
Dryad Arbor is a good free creature in a land slot.
Khalni Garden is a G mana source and gives me a Plant Token.
For the sideboard, Beast Within takes care of huge threats and Planeswalkers. Slagstorm for mass tokens, weenies, and what not. River Boa for anyone with an Island. Fresh Meat for boardsweeps. Creeping Corrosion for artifacts. Relic of Progenitus and Tormod's Crypt are there to rid the graveyard of that nasty Flashback card, Undying crap, and other stuff I don't like. Sylvok Lifestaff works well against Aggro mirrors. Especially on Eldrazi tokens or if I'm sacrificing tokens to Eldrazi Monument .
Considering adding in Surgical Extraction in the sideboard for Frites/Solar Flare, MeliraPod, and other crap I don't like in the graveyard.
I'm working on a Mono Green version:
deck-large: Dar, Son of Zed
So far it looks like a fun and interesting Deck. or 2 would likely work better. Especially with Eldrazi Monument. Goblin Guide would give you another 1 drop that can hit first turn. Also you could consider Birthing Pod to have something to roar through the deck, especially with Vengevine. Just for fun, Copperhorn Scout and even Quest for Renewal would make for fun tap to untap chaos.
Sarkhan Vol gives my guys haste, I can steal a threat, and make Dragon tokens. With BA out, whoa... he rocks in this deck man, I'm telling you!
Goblin Guide makes sense ... except I'd forfeit ramp. If I had some, I might put two in.
Thought about adding 2x Parallel Lives for added tokens. What are your thoughts?
I could see Copperhorn Scout as a good add...
If I had Birthing Pod, it would require a huge shift. I could make it work, but the synergy I have now is good. Have you playtested it?
Birthing pod as a 1 of in decks with steady mana curves works really well, especially with stuff like Vengevine where they will come surging back on just a single play. Your deck has a very steady mana curve.
Also, either main deck or sideboard, but Ancient Grudge is a beautiful card.
Holy crap! Would Doubling Season add counters to.my Planeswalkers if they get one normally?

Doubling Season will only double the amount of counters a planeswalker comes into play with. Using the 'walker's + abilities will not add double counters, as technically, adding/subtracting counters is part of the cost, not the effect. That being said, Doubling Season kicks ass, and it's still worth it.
I was going to recommend Fresh Meat, but I see you've already got some in the SB.
And lastly, I've seen Shared Animosity used as an alternative to Beastmaster Ascension in some similar token decks. I prefer the Ascension, myself, but I thought I'd mention it anyhow. Just something to consider.
Ah... I'd be interested to see how a Doubling Season would fit in. Like to try it, though. Still a cool card.

Shared Animosity would be better if I was playing mono green and had just the Eldrazi or Wolf tokens. Still pretty sweet and good to note.
The Beastmaster Ascension can immediately have 7 counters if I swing with 7 creatures after I drop it. I've done that turn 5ish. And, they're expendable!
What do you think about the Vengevine?
I think it has the potential to be great, especially with the Bloodbraid Elf(s), but I also think it might be hard to get its graveyard trigger off in the late-game, where you might only have a single creature in hand at any given time.
True... I like that Vengevine has haste, which triggers Beastmaster Ascension. Hopefully, there will be no late game. If a match seems to go thay way, I can sideboard it out.
Why does it show illegal cards to the far right, above the sets I'm using? All of these cards were legal in Modern last I checked ...

Oh yeah. Sac lands give my Lotus Cobra landfall. If I have 2 out, it stacks ... So I drop an Arid Mesa, I get a Mana of any color. Sac it, a Mountain or Stomping Grounds ETB, get another Mana, then tap it. 3 Mana...
That's also why I was pondering Rampaging Baloths for Beast tokens. Also, Primeval Titan brings lands into play when he ETB or attacks. More landfall triggers.

The cards you mentioned would take away from the synergy and my first win-con, attacking with tokens and putting counters on Beastmaster Ascension. I have plenty of ramp with my Birds of Paradise, Lotus Cobra, sac lands, Bloodbraid Elf (who fetches CMC 3 or less things), and Eldrazi Spawn producing stuff.
Even mulliganing down to 5 cards, I can pull off a win turn 5 consistently.
Yeah I figured that was the case, thought I might mention them in case you decided you needed more ramp. May I ask, why the birds over the battlements? I understand a T1 vs T2 and any color vs green, but battlement can produce loads of mana for each you get out and can survive RDWs burn spells. It just sucks GSZ is banned in modern otherwise he would be like 100x's more amazing.

Your deck looks nice... but my deck is slow??? Dude, I usually swing turn 5 for 30+ damage...lol. I play it one of two ways: 1. Wait til I have 7 creatures, drop Beastmaster Ascension, and swing for the win 2. Drop Beastmaster Ascension early and charge it A.S.A.P. Eldrazi Monument is a huge bonus as is Sarkhan Vol.
If I'm suffering alot from Trample damage I'd side in Sylvok Lifestaff and Wurmcoil Engine. To destroy large armies of tokens or weenies, I'd side in Steel Hellkite. At one point I had Creeping Corrosion sideboarded, but I didn't play alot of Artifact decks, hence the Ancient Grudge.
So, if you won one game, it'd be interesting to see what G2 and G3 would be. seizan8, do you play on Cockatrice?
Probably played your deck wrong, but Goblins. Need I Say More? gave this guy a run for its money. If you could drop a couple lines about how to competitively play your deck, I could get a better view on how well our decks work against each other.

This is a ramp/aggro deck. It can win without Beastmaster Ascension, but the deck was made around the card. Against RDW, I would want to get BA out ASAP and charge it fully, which only takes a few turns with stuff like Vengevine and Bloodbraid Elf. Even swinging with my 0/1 tokens. G2 I'd side in Sylvok Lifestaff and the Wurmcoil. Probably Parallel Lives to speed up token production from Khalni Garden and my other token producers. A few points of life will buy me enough time to charge BA and swing for the win.

Having played with this deck and becoming somewhat comfortable with it, I would offer the following suggestion: Swap out Dryad Arbor for Raging Ravine. Although the Ravine is a bit harder to swing with, I find the Arbor difficult to play around. Although you can tap neither for mana the turn it comes out, Raging Ravine can tap for both red and green. You can pay extra mana, animate it, and swing with a 4/4. The next turn, the Ravine will swing as a 5/5, and so on, and so forth.
I took out 1x Dryad Arbor and 1x Khalni Garden, as I was having too many opening hands that I couldn't drop a Birds of Paradise due to either summoning sickness or ETB tapped. That being said, Raging Ravine would really hurt due to it ETB tapped. I'd rather run more Stomping Ground if I had them (pricey...). Although I see your point, another land that ETB tapped would slow this deck down too much. If I had a mid-range strategy in a true Wolf Run Ramp deck, I'd definitely consider it.

Just for the record the reason the site is telling you you have illegal cards is because some of your cards are listed as being from the Commander Decks. The Commander decks are not Modern Legal.
The cards that are appearing this way are modern legal in their original sets but the site cannot differentiate.
Boggart Ram-Gang should replace vengevine in my opinion. It hits a turn sooner and wither can be very handy if forced to block. I have tried using vengy many times and his returning to play is far too inconsistent for me. Just my 2 cents :)

I ordered 2x Huntmaster of the Fells Flip and they should be arriving soon. I have him for another deck, but his ability to gain life and put out tokens could fair well in the 4CMC slot. What are your thoughts on him?

game 2 (sided in 2 beast within, 2 boa, and 1 steel hellkite sided out 4 bloodbraid elf and 1 eldrazi monument ) this time my threads of disloyalty grabbed your boa and boomerang took care of your blockers
the only thing that this deck needs is some way to consistently take care of opposing flyers if it had something like that i would have lost both games for sure

For Control, I was considering dropping in 4x Summoning Trap in the sideboard, which given the amount of ETB triggering creatures I have would be ridiculous lol. Especially if a Lotus Cobra was countered and I get a Primeval Titan out the ordeal...
Note that Siege-Gang Commander allows me to sac a Goblin and deal 2 to a creature or player. Essential removal. Garruk Relentless Flip allows me to do the same, once. When I side in River Boa , I take out Nest Invader as Lotus Cobra is essential to my ramp strategy. With the exception of Beastmaster Ascension , the other Enchantments I usually side out for other stuff.
BTW, how do you sideboard in the playtester? I haven't figured that out...

Looking at my numbers, you'd think this deck isn't all that consistent, but in playtesting, it puts a turn 5 clock on every time. Odd.

Hmm...Khalni Hydra would be decent, but if only ALL the tokens I produced were green, it'd be a great fit.
I like those ideas. Ideally, I'd like creatures that produced tokens upon ETB, as my other slots are taken by permanent token creators. I'm considering Populate as an option as well, given the amount of tokens I'm generating.
Nice deck! +1 from me. I playtested it against my deck Swarm and Conquer and I just barely won against you. I only had 6 life left, your Beastmaster Ascension had well over 7 counters on it, and you had Sarkhan Vol with 5 loyalty counters. Luckily I managed to deal you 21 damage through a combination of Hero of Bladehold , 5 tokens, and an Honor of the Pure , as you had tapped all your creatures to attack.
I mainly use Sarkhan for his +1 Haste ability, but I don't hesitate to ultimate for Dragon tokens. Eldrazi Monument is fairly awesome in a token mirror. Just for LOLz I may sideboard Ratchet Bomb and pop it when Eldrazi Monument is out lol. Either that or Slagstorm ...

Yeah, when Bloodbraid Elf got banned I knew it would hurt a lot decks. They did it to shut down Jund, it was just too powerful. And yeah, I figured. That's what I used him for when I playtested as you. And ahh, Ratchet Bomb . Several cards in my sideboard are there solely to counter that card. Tell me how the playtesting goes on your end!
Just a bit of a challenge for you, I saw this deck a few minutes ago, try winning against it: DCI Banhammer.
I think you should ad white. Not for populate.. But for things like Hero of Bladehold (may have been previously stated, I agree) Intangible Virtue and this card stinks.. But u have ramp so maybe not so bad: Assemble the Legion if u ramped and got it turn 3 it could be scary!! I really love this deck though.. +1 from me!

james_w_whitcomb, thanks for the +1!!! I've considered adding green to make a Naya version. Blade Splicer, Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, Armada Wurm, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite would be some awesome adds. I think I made a Selesnya and/or Naya version, which I'll post in the next comment.
I also have 2x Inkmoth Nexus & Kessig Wolf Run, 3x Primeval Titan, 3x Eldrazi Monument, and 2x Sarkhan Vol, which are huge threats and win-cons themselves. The deck is based around Beastmaster Ascension, but doesn't necessarily need it to win.

Wow I really like this deck. However, is there a way to speed it up? I went 2-0 but that was mainly because I kept drawing burn spells so there wasn't a lot of interaction.
Bloodbraid Elf !!! It really, really made the deck. Of course it got banned in Modern... I thought about putting in 4x Vengevine and other Haste creatures like Boggart Ram-Gang and the like. Dunno. I've also contemplated taking out some of the slower lands like Dryad Arbor and Khalni Garden , just a few, and perhaps adding more ramp.
Typically by turn 4-5, I can swing for 30+ damage. The deck is notably slower without Bloodbraid Elf . I digress. Against Aggro or RDW, I sideboard in Sylvok Lifestaff , which I may need to add more lol.
Ideally it plays like this:
T 1- forest/shock land. Birds of Paradise T2 - Lotus Cobra , forest/mountain, Nest Invader T3 - fetch land, Primeval Titan which tutors Khalni Garden and Inkmoth Nexus , landfall trigger from Lotus Cobra , cast Beastmaster Ascension . Swing with four creatures, so four counters on BA. T4 - land drop, Eldrazi Monument , swing with 7 creatures. Good game.
I may just have to add in Wurmcoil Engine ... Hmm...

Have you thought about Lingering Souls ? You have access to white, and the land base shouldn't be too bad to splash for the flashback, PLUS it gets counters more securely.
Hmm... I may like that idea! I've been thinking about splashing white for Hero of Bladehold and the like. Plus I can have Path and other stuff. I definitley have the shocks and what not... May have to play around with it. Thanks BLEATH!
I don't think Hero would work like that, unfortunately. Doesn't Beastmaster Ascension only get a counter as the creature is declared as an attacker? Hero puts them already attacking UN-declared.
