abzan infinite counters standard

infinite counters standard you need three cards out Bellowing Aegisaur , Winding Constrictor , Walking Ballista with two counters a least then you cast Heroic Intervention or Destined / Lead then you ping your Bellowing Aegisaur boom instant win net one counter per ping. you could also get infinte counter by having two Bellowing Aegisaur and a Walking Ballista on two rotate the ping between each of the Bellowing Aegisaur. With one of each Walking Ballista and Bellowing Aegisaur and no indestructible you still will get a 5 power boost for the rest of your team that could still win you the game. The deck plays like the old energy counter deck with a fun infinite upgrade.

Great idea, definitely gets a +1 from me. one or two changes id make if I were you. For starters, I don't think that you need two plains. They get really bad in multiples and can be fetched up via Attune with Aether. You might also want to cut 1-2 Concealed Courtyard for 1-2 Sunpetal Grove, i don't know if having 8 fast lands is too much in this deck. Secondly, Heroic Intervention is probably not needed as a four of. Going infinite is a bit unnecessary, just adding four counters per turn to your team usually wins the game. Ditto with Rush of Vitality. Cast Out seems a bit better than Doomfall in most cases. Lastly, Ashes of the Abhorrent seems well, abhorrent at dealing with the graveyard strategies that are in standard. Maybe try out Crook of Condemnation or deadeye tracker to deal with various God-Pharaoh's Gift strategies. It also seems like you have a bit too much in your sideboard to deal with controlling decks. Here would be my changes.

+2 Blossoming Defense

+1 Sunpetal Grove

+4 Servant of the Conduit

+1 Ifnir Deadlands

+1 Cast Out

-1 Swamp

-1 Plains

-4 Heroic Intervention

-2 Rush of Vitality

-1 Concealed Courtyard

-2 Blossoming Defense

-3 Ashes of the Abhorrent

-1 Kambal, Consul of Allocation

+2 Heroic Intervention

+2 Crook of Condemnation

+1 deadeye tracker

+1 Never

Hopefully some of this helped. Sorry if I overloaded you.

Also, for reference, deadeye tracker does this

Deadeye Tracker B

1B, tap: Exile two cards from an opponent's graveyard. Deadeye tracker explores

Guardians I believe the fast lands are more consistent early than the lands like Sunpetal Grove having early black is important for Fatal Push I didn't see the deadeye tracker but you are right with him being better that the Ashes of the Abhorrent. I will be adding him to the side board when available. I listened about the Plains and switched it for the Ifnir Deadlands. I like the Doomfall right now as a way to see if you can combo and as an sacrifice effect if needed. I don't want to go away from the combo yet I want to try it out before I change that part.

I'm not saying go away from the combo, I'm just saying cards like Rush of Vitality and Heroic Intervention are extremely situational, and id rather have something like Servant of the Conduit or Blossoming Defense

In case you want to try infinite counters in Hour of Devastation standard, I have a build that's pretty crazy: G/B/W infinite constrictor. I didn't pull off infinite today (needed 1 more decoction module or constrictor), but I did manage to spew about 20 counters in a single turn, most of them at instant speed during blocks.

So with today's preview card, this deck just got insane. Make it so that Walking Ballista comes out with 3 counters, then add Raptor Hatchling (https://media.wizards.com/2017/xln/en_5xDCCj6rkP.png) to the mix (it adds a fourth color but Aether Hubs can make this work). It is a 1R creature with enrage mechanic that creates a 3/3 Dino when dealt damage. Which because of the infinite loop Bellowing Aegisaur is causing quickly become much, much bigger.

Or if you don't want to add a red creature, throw in Ranging Raptor (2G Enrange Search for Land) for massive mana ramp or Ravenous Daggertooth (2G Enrange, gain 2 life) for infinite life gain. But it all starts with Walking Ballista coming in with 3 counters.

macdocr I do like the anging Raptor (2G Enrange Search for Land) I think it may have a place in here I also think the other may have a place also but ill need to see what other enrage creatures are available in this set

Why do you need Winding Constrictor?

As long as their indestructible you can go infinite with just the Bellowing Aegisaur and Walking Ballista, or am I missing something?

shawnzeedyk says... #12

HUFFDADDY with Winding Constrictor and Bellowing Aegisaur you get 2 counters this means Walking Ballista will net one counter for each one removed getting one bigger each time. This with Heroic Intervention instant win by Walking Ballista
