Sarkhan Unbroken was interesting but ultimately lacking, Narset it is. Removed several of the random what if win cons and various enablers and added a lot more destruction and protection. Narset, Enlightened Master was added again for the lawls of it.

Pithing Needle is a combo w/Lethal Vapors

Spreading Plague fits perfectly and is great w/Sliver Queen

Planar Collapse is nice early wrath tech

Hey, just came to chime in that Tezzeret the Seeker + The Chain Veil + Gilded Lotus + Sarkhan Unbroken is an infinite combo that gives you infinite planeswalker activations. For this reason, I run Mana Vault and also Garruk Wildspeaker in my 5c Superfriends deck; it's easy to fetch with Tezzeret the turn he comes into play.

To explain the Tezzeret the Seeker + Sarkhan Unbroken + The Chain Veil + Gilded Lotus combo, because I am sure I was not the only person that didn't instantly get it:

1: Tap Gilded Lotus, get floating.

2: +1 Sarkhan Unbroken. Draw a card, float another . You now have floating.

3: Activate The Chain Veil, letting you use all of your planeswalkers again.

4: Use Tezzeret the Seeker 's +1 ability, untapping The Chain Veil and Gilded Lotus.

5: Go back to step 1 after you finish using all your planeswalkers and want do do it again.

Venser, the Sojourner goes almost infinite with Ral Zarek.

  • Jesus this deck makes me happy and I don't even play EDH. Doubling Season seems to make ANY planeswalker that comes in be able to use its Ult once it comes in. Was about to suggest Chain Veil but you have it already :(. So in love with this deck... Jebus.

Nice deck with cool interactions. Just one thing I'm wondering about: why include Skyshroud Claim with only 1x Forest in the deck?

December 5, 2015 3:28 a.m.

It can grab the Forest shocks and duals as well

Missed that part, knew there'd be a reason. At least in the old duallands they spelled out this interaction on the card itself...

All good suggestions,

  1. Vampiric Tutor is expensive but deserves a spot.
  2. I am very familar with the Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth infinite combo. Basalt Monolith + Mana Reflection gives the same. The question is, what do I do with just colorless mana?
  3. Necropotence you nailed it, the 3 black, but it is ungodly good... especially with Solitary Confinement ....
  4. Aura of Silence I agree and was debating
  5. Mirari's Wake Yep, no idea how it got left in the binder
  6. Mana Vault yes, Mana Crypt no-$$$
  7. Lotus Cobra and Eternal Witness are great but my meta likes to melt little creatures, potentially E-wit
  8. Contagion Engine is mana intensive but I will test it out again with more rocks.

There are some great options for infinite colorless mana that just got printed in Oath. :)

And you can always go with Staff of Domination.

January 18, 2016 11:30 a.m.

Agreed, but fitting my maybeboard is already proving difficult and Staff of Domination doesn't really fit the theme.

Well, inf. colorless mana can always be useful, especialy considering your ACMC. And you have X spells - Pernicious Deed and Genesis Wave, Genesis Wave with inf. mana is almost always game over.

Also you could use some more card advantage spells, for example Phyrexian Arena, Blue Sun's Zenith, Fact or Fiction or Lim-Dul's Vault. Blue Sun's Zenith would be good with inf. mana as win con

Maybe I'm just being stupid but i feel like this deck leaves you a little defenseless, especially against those red deck wins.

January 24, 2016 5:19 p.m.

There aren't really any red deck wins in EDH due to the 40 life count. Purphoros, God of the Forge and Nekusar, the Mindrazer are the closest true direct damage decks and I have enough ramp and creature hate to outrun it.

What about Celestial Dawn to help with mana fixing?

January 30, 2016 9:54 p.m.

I...never thought of using it like that. hmmmmm

As an alternative you can also use Prismatic Omen

February 7, 2016 8:31 p.m.

I had that in here but cut it, I have a decent mana base and stay pretty true to color
