Chain of vapor... Didn't want to part with it, but after a long conversation with Chemtails(LabManSimon,) while working on the upcoming primer; I was convinced that it is not a good fit for the deck. 9/10 times you use it, the target's controller will retaliate by bouncing Edric. That makes chain cost 4 in reality which is just too expensive. We lose out on a great line to play when under a deluge, but other than that I have no regrets cutting it. Also getting to the 30 creature dream by adding Jace's Phantasm in it's place is awesome. I would say phantasm is the very best donger that I wasn't playing. Although we don't NEED extra power on the field, the +4/+4 can certainly put some pressure on opponents to remove it instead of Edric if their life total is relevant and also to use grave hate on our opponents instead of us.

Shouldn't you be playing the mass infect spell? I don't think your deck does really anything

Coming over from Simon's list, whats the tech behind Merfolk Spy? I feel like there are better flyers that you guys have cut but leave this guy in? Is it just that he is a 1 drop Rogue?

SivartusWe NEVER see a pod without blue in cEDH so Spy can get through. The fact that it's a rogue is a bonus but what's really useful is the random information it reveals to the table about the blue player's hand. The only flyer That I don't play which I feel deserves a slot is Jace's phantasm. There are no other cost efficient flyers that are better in these slots.

Have you considered running Storm Crow? Not only is it magics most broken card, it's also almost a donger.
