Ah, Protean Hulk. You were once banned, now you're back in the limelight and better than ever. With your good pal Deathrender, I will place you upon Ashnod's Altar and create a new world of pain.

Everyone remembers Protean Hulk, right? That one creature that just wins the game out of nowhere and everyone hates you with a fiery passion? Yeah, that's the one. Although mine does the same, it still needs a bit more setup in order to pay off.

First things first, make sure you play Deathrender only when Protean Hulk is in hand or on the battlefield. Second, make sure you have a cheap sac outlet (preferably free) in order to make a sacrifice as soon as Protean Hulk is in play. And lastly, make sure you have another creature in hand, preferably some with an etb effect or death trigger to get the most out of you win. Once those parameters are in place, you can start this wild ride.

First phase, equip Deathrender to Protean Hulk. Now sacrifice Protean Hulk to a sac outlet. This triggers Deathrender, putting a creature from your hand into play attached to Deathrender. Once the hulk dies, search for Deadwood Treefolk from your library and put it into the battlefield, returning Protean Hulk from your graveyard back to your hand. Now sacrifice the creature attached to Deathrender, bringing back Protean Hulk from your hand. Now sacrifice Deadwood Treefolk to bring any creature from graveyard back to hand.

Now this is phase 2 of the reanimation station. Stick with me, it can get convoluted. Sacrifice Protean Hulk (attaching a creature to Deathrender) to search for Eternal Witness and Hissing Iguanar. Eternal Witness will then bring back Deadwood Treefolk to hand. Sacrifice Eternal Witness and THEN the creature attached to Deathrender which brings Deadwood Treefolk back into play, returning Protean Hulk from the grave, and also dealing damage to anything with Hissing Iguanar.

We are down to the final phase, the one that ends it all. Now that Protean Hulk is in hand, Deadwood Treefolk is in play, and Eternal Witness is in the graveyard, you can loop this as many times as you want. Just sac the wood, bring back witness to hand, and put the hulk into play. Sac the hulk to search for any creatures with total cmc of 6 and put them, as well as the witness, into play. Return the treefolk with the witness, sac the witness to drop the treefolk, the treefolk returns the hulk, then sac the wood to return the witness featuring an infinite loop of death and despair.

See, wasn't that easy? An instant win. And hey, if you don't even care for the combo, this deck can do pretty well on it's own. Reanimator decks are always great because you use you graveyard as if it were, also your hand, opening up a whole new amount of possibilities. Also, it's freakin' Prosh. Prosh has always been a great commander because it can do work all on it's own. A sacrifice outlet, natural evasion as a flyer, being able to pump itself by expending your lackeys, and creating a cheap load of blockers all in one?! Sounds like a,great commander to me.
