The goal of the deck is to cast Ral, Izzet Viceroy as soon as possible and use Contentious Plan to add counters and use Ral's ultimate ability. Then you cast burn spells with the emblem to win.

The perfect game would look like this: Turn 1 - Tap Land Turn 2 - Discount / Cast Payoff Turn 3 - Mana Rock Turn 4 - Ral, Izzet Viceroy Turn 5 - Contentious Plan x 2 Turn 6 - Burn / Ritual / Good Stuff

This is designed to be budget and casual. I usually play Jund stompy so this is new to me. Any tips and suggestions are welcome.
