Sideboard

Maybeboard

This deck is pure, unadulterated, linear beat down. The plan is to pressure the opponent at every step along the way with aggressively costed little baddies. Basically big zoo, but with the ability to take a burn stance in games 2 and 3.

The Muscle:

Wild Nacatl : Was banned for a reason. This guy can be an absolute terror. My only complaint is that he dies to bolt AND Abrupt Decay, but even then he's saving my bigger guys from dire fates.

Experiment One : Turn 1, this guy can do some work. With 15 creatures entering with 3 or more power, the Human Ooze gets mean quick. And his ability to regenerate can be incredibly useful.

Scavenging Ooze: Great tempo play, even better late-game threat. This is the delve-hydra we've always wanted.

Fleecemane Lion : If I don't have a one drop in hand, this guy keeps me from looking stupid before turn 3. Also a great late-game mana sink if I can get him there in one piece.

Loxodon Smiter: Uncounterable, Thoughtseize-proof, and I dare you to plus Liliana.

Woolly Thoctar : Gets distracted easily, but man he hits like a truck!

Knight of the Reliquary: Another strong threat and great utility creature. I'll add more fetch lands as I get them, this chick is just bonkers. Also looking forward to adding Kessig Wolf Run.

The Backup:

Boros Charm: Guaranteed to cure your Wrath of God blues. Also serves up some tasty fried Planeswalker, and who said old elephants couldn't learn new combat tricks?

Lightning Bolt/Path to Exile: Need I even say?

Atarka's Command: Versatile finisher/ramp. I haven't played with it much, but I can just imagine bolt-ramping has to be fun.

Ghor-Clan Rampager : After waaay too many games against Lingering Souls, this guy became a must. He's also a nice 4/4 for 4, with trample to boot.

The Sideboard (Even More Backup?):

Destructive Revelry : My artifact/enchantment removal of choice. Comes in almost all the time because half of everyone boards in pesky things like Leylines or Pithing Needle. The extra burn is a nice touch.

Pithing Needle because Pithing Needle.

Lightning Helix for aggro matchups where I need the lifegain/extra removal..

Rending Volley : Twin and such. Doesn't hit Siege Rhino, but I am running Path so I should be good.

Pyroclasm because I really, really hate tokens.

Extra Scavenging Ooze for midrange and aggro.

If you have any suggestions for the deck, let me know! Feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Updates Add

Well, I went back and restructured the deck with Knight of the Reliquary in mind. After some playtesting, I'm enjoying Wooly Thoctar but wishing he had trample... wait, is that a Ghor-Clan Rampager I spy? Evil grin That aside, I've also found that tokens are a pain in the arse, so sideboarding Pyroclasm and I might go for Iroas after all. That being said, I appreciate all the discussion and I look forward to more of it!
