This version can still be pretty competitive, but its tuned for multiplayer games and doesn't run the stax effects.

My favourite commander deck, A Gathering of Heroes is all about using Captain Sisay and her legendary friends to generate card advantage and being able to play the appropriate heroes when their time to shine comes.

The deck usually wins through a pump effect (Heroes' Podium or Kamahl, Fist of Krosa + Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx ) combined with critical mass of assorted legend synergy. The deck generates a respectable amount of card advantage and card selection (topdeck manipulation & shuffling + Sisay).

Blue decks have historically given Captain Sisay some trouble, so in addition to Dragonlord Dromoka there is also Dosan the Falling Leaf, Grand Abolisher, Insist and Savage Summoning. I don't play City of Solitude because it restricts when Sisay can do her thing.

I play Bind (Well I normally do, its not in the deck currently :P) and Lapse of Certainty as unexpected G/W tech. Nobody expects the effects in these colours!

There's also a few more comboey ways to finish players off. I don't like to use these unless I'm playing for prizes, but they're available as options (and are very useful in more competitive matches):

• Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite + Living Plane / Linvala, Keeper of Silence + Living Plane - Who needs lands?
• Mindslaver + recursion source
• Yosei, the Morning Star + Miren, the Moaning Well + recursion source

Captain Sisay's crew has an answer for almost every situation, and she is very good at finding the right crewmember for the job! Together they'll make short work of the Phyrexians.
