This deck is an asymmetrical warfare deck.

Like 8rack, this deck asks your opponent if they want to trade down in value or let us play our 1-2 mana spell. And our other 1-2 mana spell. And our other 1-2 mana spell. Oh you countered it? Cool we are going to play the same spell again. Do you want to counter this one too? That's fine. We'll just play another one.

We want to be under our opponents and have them in a situation were all we have to do is draw one card they can't answer before or after our opponent stabilizes. Flashbacking bump in the night is often the key to winning. U counters are horrible to play against. But that's true for everything...

This deck rewards you for trying to attack. Dolmen's gate (or darkness) allows you to swing and drain life without regard for blockers. Foul tongued shriek, Throne of the God Pharaoh and brutal horde chief reward you for attacking (or just being tapped in the case of TGP). You have no removal package main deck, so take life while you can early game before your higher card value opponent comes online. A great opening combo is night market look out and mardu shadow spear. MSS on curve (turn 2) can dash with haste, hitting for 4 damage with Night Market Look out or any other "Swing=-1" creature. With most of the decks in the modern meta, this is a free hit with no blockers.

Play bitter blossom and dark confidant as your hand begins to gas out or a turn before you know you're entering top deck mode. Dolmen's gate should be played as soon as possible as it functionally makes your creatures unblockable 1/1s (since everything hits just for attacking). If you see Bitterblossom and one drops in your hand, hold onto foul tongued shriek and hold off on attacking till your board state is big enough to maximize its value. Sideboard is current meta tuned (3/4/2018). Comment if you have tips for affinity or general meta relevant comments.

Death shadow is GREAT against burn and other match ups where you can't get around turn 3-4 stabilization. They sideboard for aggro and suddenly you're going tall. Death's Shadow punishes your opponent for spending money on better cards then you ;).
