A Druid's call to the Green

Commander / EDH Mono-Green Ramp Tribal

SuppaDucky

MONO GREEN DRUIDS!!

I love mono green decks, and this has been one of my favourites thanks to this fun guy: Gilt-Leaf Archdruid I remember when I first saw this card when Morningtide came around and I really wanted to make a deck with it, decks came and went, and I finally had a big enough collection to make this Gloriously Green Commander Deck (Well, all the cards except for Gaea's Cradle)

The deck is very straight forward: Step 1: Play Druids, Step 2: Get Mana, Step 3: ???, Step 4: Profit

I really like that step 3 can go down a few different avenues, each way to win is ultimately through having a lot of druids, so druids = win: Win Cons: Gilt-Leaf Archdruid "Us druids know how to care for the lands better than you.", Kamahl, Fist of Krosa "Druids are Beef too!", Helix Pinnacle "Where are we going to put all this extra mana?", Throne of the God-Pharaoh "Being tapped means healing the world!".

I really enjoy playing this deck because it knows what it wants, and with a lot of ways to get it. The deck focuses on you playing creatures, drawing cards because you played creatures, and if you haven't drawn what you needed; tutoring the last pieces you need to get in touch with the best colour in Magic .

"Uhh Ducky, how do am I suppose to win with druids? Aren't they a boring tribe?" - Hold up! Druids might not be so common or popular and without any real lords or a lot of synergy they can feel weaker compared to other tribes, but where they have synergy, it counts. You might think Seton, Krosan Protector is just another silly Mana Dork, but he's the BEST silly mana dork in all Druids, because Seton doesn't wait for summoning sickness to pass to get Mana, he needs the Mana now! He also makes all your other little mana dorks tap for that mana, there's even some druids who don't tap for mana, but now they do. Thanks Seton! You're leadership makes me feel Green!

"Geez Ducky, can't you see that no one uses Helix Pinnacle anymore" - Well, I'm not playing someone else's deck, I'm playing with cards that I have and that I like, and sure I may have first started seriously playing when Lorwyn just hit the scene, but these cards are apart of my favourite selection. So, how do I get to 100 mana quickly? EASY!! Stick an equipment like card:Sword of Paruns or Umbral Mantle onto a creature like Elvish Archdruid, Karametra's Acolyte or Priest of Titania whilst they're able to produce at least 4 mana. Meaning you can tap them for mana and then untap them for which is a profit of 1 mana per tapping/untapping, so you can get your infinite mana.

"But Ducky, I really don't like Centaurs, I'm like racist against Centaurs, like really racist, like a Centuarist Racist" - Whoa whoa! Okay, I don't see through that lens, but if you really don't want to use Seton, Krosan Protector, there's another option, a quick swap if you will. If you have a different preference or you just don't like Centaurs, there is another option for the commander also in this deck if you feel like changing it up, and that's our wonderful OG Green Planeswalker (before she died sealing a rift) Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury. I really enjoy her as a Commander option too, and sometimes I switch it up if I feel like she we'll be more interesting for the game, so if you want, give her a chance too.

Well that's about all I wanted to say for this deck, I find it super enjoyable and of course it's the best colour in magic
