With thus deck you are going to give your opponent one massive headache. Being able to protect your permanents from spot removal is one thing. Being able to stop all the damage dealt is another. Eight-and-a-Half-Tails has two strong effects.

-The first is being able to turn all cards white. This doesn't sound like much but with Circle of Protection: White and Rune of Protection: White you are unable to take damage.

-The second is giving your permanents protection from white. This is great for a variety of reasons. The obvious is how it combos with the commanders ability. Your permanents are now safe from spot removal. This means your opponents will need to waste spells to dry up you mana to remove a problem permanent. Needless to say this gives you a massive advantage. However, protection does more than that. Your creatures no longer have to worry about blockers. They can swing in dropping life totals drop with ease.
