First Mass Revision —April 21, 2014

Finished the first revision! Took out everything that didn't directly support this deck's explosiveness. The strategy now has no offboard response options, and is simply an incredibly powerful aggro build. Added some acceleration and consistency with the Deception package (Disciple of Deceit and Phenax, God of Deception are incredible in this build) and a few more rocks.

You may want to change your general.

Yo you can't have a creature that's not legendary as your general

I would really like them to make some 4 color legends though.

I would also add some re-animator cards if you want to run a re-animator deck. There are alot of good ones. They can help you to discard like Putrid Imp , or straight bring them back like Reanimate . There are a number of each type.

Yeah, your general has to be legendary sadly. The best would be Cromat , Progenitus , or Child of Alara . It seems you'd still be able to cast him because of your multi-color mana production.

Our playgroup allows the old Ravnica Nephilim as generals, fortunately :D so I'm clear there.

@SharadSun Okay, cool. I'd suggest getting Child of Alara (best five color for reanimator) and leaving it around in case you ever want to play a game with other players. :P

Wow, that is pretty cool. I might have to run that idea by my friends. I really would like some 4 color options.

@Didgeridooda: Thanks for the input! After a bit of testing, I found out that the only reanimation spell I ever really relied on was Obzedat's Aid , since most of my creature-reanimation needs are met by my general (and Pulsemage Advocate , bless his heart). Right now I need to get creatures into the 'yard in the first place, so I'm considering Buried Alive and Stinkweed Imp to supplement my Corpse Connoisseur and natural discard.

Entomb is another one I love.

@LordDavop: Definitely =p and the lands to match. Luckily I have them...

@Didgeridooda: That one, too. I'm also considering Gravedigger and Cadaver Imp for recursion purposes, and possibly Treasury Thrull as well.

To help throw things out I have a couple of suggestions. Faithless Looting is one of my favs for throwing stuff away and it lets you do it again! Liliana of the Veil is also a nice outlet for throwing away stuff. Wild Guess is not bad either. Why not have Unburial rights?

Faithless Looting is being added as we speak! :D Wild Guess isn't good enough IMO, and while both can be recurred with Archaeomancer , the former allows me to fire it off a second time if I'm really in a tough spot (post-Merciless Eviction or Final Judgment ).

As far as Lili and Rites: I tested both. Liliana of the Veil is great (but insidiously expensive) and Unburial Rites is definitely getting a second playtest.

Have you considered Gift of Immortality ? Put it on your Commander and you can swing in all you want without having to recast him.

@BawwPixels: I have! If I do play it, it will replace Frontline Medic.

Avatar of Woe is pretty good in a deck that puts a lot of creatures in the yard. Fleshbag Marauder is fun to recur too. Massacre Wurm is good to clear out those little tokens and make your creatures dying a pain for your opponents. Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter is just a big dumb sac outlet that gets you life and can take care of annoying things like Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre

Thanks for the suggestions, @BawwPixels! I'm using Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter already and I'm testing Fleshbag Marauder (and Liliana's Specter as well) in a current build.

@viralassassin1: I tested Unburial Rites and it was decidedly sub-par. Obzedat's Aid is woefully off-curve as it is, so I think I'll stick to more graveyard tutoring than actual reanimation spells and leave the gravedigging to Yore-Tiller Nephilim :D

Sounds good. Looks like a great deck!
