Win Conditions

• Ajani Vengeant : Boros Liliana of the Veil , amirite?


• Assemble the Legion: Really works great in the long, grindy games. Keep one card in hand with Ensnaring Bridge to be able to attack!


• Elspeth, Knight-Errant: Comes out earlier than Assemble the Legion and makes her tokens relevant if there is no Ensnaring Bridge.

Burn

• Boros Charm: Usually works as Lava Spike in this deck, but is nice insurance against Abrupt Decay.
• Lightning Bolt : Because Lightning Bolt .


• Lightning Helix : Lightning Bolt with lifelink? Sure, we need to last to the late game.


• Magma Jet: I've grown to appreciate this card more in this deck. It helps dig up the correct threats and answers. Fun with Isochron Scepter.

Stall

• Ghostly Prison: Works as a replacement for Ensnaring Bridge in a pinch, and entirely shuts Splinter Twin down.


• Gideon Jura: Only a threat if Ensnaring Bridge isn't on the field. Great at catching the little guys that can swing under Ensnaring Bridge.


• Oblivion Ring: Catch-all removal. It's nice to have an out against enchantments and artifacts pre SB.


• Silence: I like to think of it as a smokescreen against control decks. I love when it picks up a Cryptic Command or Mana Leak .

The Lock

• Ensnaring Bridge: Shuts down attackers when your hand runs out... Easy to do when most of your spells are low cost instants.


• Isochron Scepter + Silence : Activating during your opponent's upkeep ensures that they will not cast anything at sorcery speed.

Isochron Scepter

Isochron Scepter is what really differentiates this deck from other Boros Bridge Lockdown decks. With this card, we can eliminate a major issue with other burn decks- running out of fuel. We can protect our board. We can even stop our opponents from playing anything but instants!

• Boros Charm + Isochron Scepter : Utility on a stick. This combination is pure peace of mind.


• Isochron Scepter + Lightning Helix : Really useful in a burn matchup. Out of the games I've playtested against burn and RDW, this setup has entirely outpaced my opponent each time.


• Isochron Scepter + Magma Jet : Usually, I'm not a fan of attaching this to Isochron Scepter, but I can see it being especially useful game two, after you've seen their deck.


• Isochron Scepter + Silence : Apparently Isochron Scepter + Orim's Chant is a thing in Legacy and this deck is trying to do it in a more complex way, but regardless, it's undeniable how oppressive this can be.
