This deck isnt Standard Legal as these cards are NOT in recent circulation, therefore they will be banned in today's Tournaments, unless they are either Modern or Legacy. Im assuming you want to play Modern, which is every card can be played, except for banned cards such as Baleful Strix, Treasure Cruise, or Jace, the Mind Sculptor.

VoidTephlon excuse me, what? I didn't get anything :s

VoidTephlon these cards are about to rotate in to standard as they are in the new set, Ixilan. They are not currently on the market or legal in any format, but will be legal in commander after release and legal in all other formats starting next Friday 9/29/17. Also, Modern is everything that is not banned that has been printed after 8th edition, if I remember correctly, not including supplemental products such as commander/conspiracy. Legacy on the other hand contains all sets but has a ban-list.

Also I would personally try to cut out your green cards as it will put some heavy strain on your mana base especially with the double green cost on Cultivator of Blades and the fact that you are only running 3 sources capable of producing green.

Sigh* no one reads my decks... darklinglion398 & VoidTephlon ok, since you are the only guys around, I might as well explain it in a comment too xD. This deck is mono blue. The main win con, is the huge chunks of damage , my flyers do.

But as we all know, mtg is a game of luck. So, I have MAXIMISED my draw engine and at the same time I dig through my deck. As soon as a Cultivator of Blades or a Samut, Voice of Dissent get in my hands, or in the top of library, I ship them asap to the graveyard.

In other words, I am not casting them. What I do, is wait and cast an Hour of Eternity, EXILING BOTH the cultivator and Samut.

By exiling them both, I create 2 4/4 tokens, that are copy of the creatures, that have HASTE CAUSE OF SAMUT. Cultivator enters as a 4/4 and brings in 2 1/1 tokens. They all attack. Cultivator gives them all +4/+4 . So, in a round, we can swing for 2x 5/5 tokens, one 4/4 cultivator and an 8/8 double strike Samut. This means 30 damage in a single round out of nowhere... XD

I would appreciate it if you upvoted, so that more people can see the combo xD again, thank you for your time and for stopping by .

I dont play nearly enough MTG to know enough to care... I started playing over 2 years ago and have only won 1 match that wasnt a pre-release two-headed giant, and that was the very first match I did. Since then ive poured hundreds of dollars into cards, after trying to figure out how they work... but to no avail...

VoidTephlon did you understand my "combo"? It's a pretty budget deck, that can easily take top 3 places, consistently.

This is what I try to do in tappout. I try to make budget decks, for people to have fun and win prizes. You don't have to spend a fortune on some cards. You need to practice a little bit more and you'll see that you can make some sick decks :)

Practice is hard to come by when no one wants to play and you're too busy.

VoidTephlon you could always try MTG online. It's kinda hard to understand at first, but once you get used to it, you will always be able to play, in whatever format you want. :)

I want that MTG online so I can test out my Sultai Wurm Growing deck.

VoidTephlon you should try it, but beware. It is kinda frustrating to learn the interface. You'll need to have some patience. Buuut it's the best way to check a deck. I first build the decks on MTGO and then, IF they perform well, I buy the cards and build it real life.

ROUROU sorry, I honestly looked right over that interaction, that is pretty cool tho! VoidTephlon while its no substitute for practice it is also fairly helpful to watch pro-tour coverage on you-tube of a deck you like or one you want to play against to see some of the minute interactions, I've also heard that xMage and cocatrice are fairly good free ways to practice and play test.

I dont see how this deck will win against green black energy, blue red control or vehicles deckHow do you see the matchup against the known top 8 decks that dont rotate? The deck idea seems nice haven't play tested it but I dont see the top 3 event guaranteed factor yet.

ROUROU says... #19

HADES2001 well as you can see in the sideboard, I have MANY ways to deal with those pesky creatures...

You cannot have everything in MTG. I am aggro and I counter. Do you see many counters in g/b energy decks? Cause I don't. Also, I know how to play mtg, I know when to hit, I know strategies. In the tournaments that I participate, I am constantly top3 and there are CA. 20 participants each time.

My point is, if you haven't played the deck yet, don't go asking how I can beat another deck. You should think of a way that this deck is inferior of another deck and then inform me, so that I can make it better.

VoidTephlon says... #20

HADES2001 You should test the deck by either making proxies and/or using MTG Online to see how the deck fits the meta, your style, etc., Its also not hard to make a top3 event deck once youve done it a few times... if ROUROU insists it will top3, it WILL be able to do just that, the only thing missing is the player's skill and tact when it comes to playing the right cards at the right time... that, and knowing how to properly shuffle a deck so you dont get Mana flooded or Mana droughted.

Understanding how the deck synergizes with your style is the first step towards being top3. I personally did top3 in an Hour of Devastation pre-release Two-Headed Giant, and ive been building decks with similar synergy ever since.

VoidTephlon you are totally right! Another fact, is that when you play "homebrew" decks, you have the advantage of surprise. I mean, if I play against a grixis control, I won't give him card advantage. If I play against baral counters, I will spam creatures as soon as possible to deal damage etc. If I play against a homebrew deck, I won't be able to know what he's playing :P

Next deck I need to get to 80% comp is my Green - Blue Leviathan Naga deck. Not too much mana ramp, but plenty of card drawing power., - throw in 4x Quicksilver Amulets and with the right ramp, card draw, I can pull a Leviathan on turn 4 or 5. Then next turn spam the crap out of it and beef it up for a lethal. If no lethal, just bring out another massive sea creature :>
