Sideboard

Kaladesh Standard burn.

Competitive budget alternative for new Kaladesh Standard.

Disclaimer: the deck is not mine. i had no part in the creation of the deck. just wanted to share this strong deck that i know will be a strong contender for the early portion of the new block.

This deck is in many ways similar to the U/R Fevered visions style of deck but rather than taking a tempo based aggro approach. R/B Burn uses highly efficient creatures and spells to chunk at your opponents life without needing to rely on the combat step to win the game. this deck ignores alot of strategies than rely on the board state in order to obtain an advantage. with that said this deck should be very strong against alot of midrange creature based decks (such as Sylvan Advocate) as well as long- game Emrakul, the Promised End decks.

very simple interactions such as Alms of the Vein + Collective Brutality Deals 5 dmg to an opponent on top of getting a secondary modal option. Add a Thermo-Alchemist to the equation and you add an additional 3 dmg (a difference of an 11 point life swing for only 3 mana)

The deck contains 21 cards that provide possible Madness outlets making Alms of the Vein and Fiery Temper very efficient.

Madness outlets: Bedlam Reveler, Collective Brutality, Collective Defiance, Geier Reach Sanitarium, Insolent Neonate, Lightning Axe, Tormenting Voice

Both Bedlam Reveler and Sin Prodder become very efficient draw engines in the later part of the game.

Most may think Sin Prodder is not to great in this list due to the lack of play and under performance this standard " Dark Confidant " has previously shown. the punisher mechanic of allowing you opponent to choose your draws is not a great mechanic but forcing you opponent into a situation where they cant take 3 dmg from a Collective Defiance or 8 dmg from a Bedlam Reveler is alot to justify including this card.

"but what about lands, they cost 0 cmc" yea they do cost 0 cmc and of course your opponent will not allow you to draw a free card if given a choice, but just getting rid of that land you've increase the likely-hood of drawing a card that effectively win you the game. On the other hand if you flip a Incendiary Flow off the top your opponent will take 2 dmg for the price of 0 mana.

overall i think this deck is very strong. ive been trying to work on the side-board but it still needs alot of work. im open to suggestion if any of you guys have any. good luck.
