MBD is a pretty simple deck type to grasp. The point is to kill things while killing the opponent. Due to this deck's nature being Budget, some changes can been made to make this more competitive:
+4x Hero's Downfall for 1x Silence the Believers, 1x Squelching Leeches , and 2x Boon of Erebos
+4x Thoughtseize for 4 Brain Maggot
+4x Bloodstained Mire for 4 Swamp
+4x Polluted Delta for 4 Swamp
+4x Temple of Deceit for 4 Swamp
This will give you a good balance of control with creatures.
