Proven Combatant
- A 1/1 body early game, 4/4 Eternal late-game.
Sage of Epityr
- 2 of due to budget constraints. A solid "Ponder"-like effect, but I'm unsure whether him or Wall are better
Wall of Runes
- A newcomer from War of The Spark, as an x/4 it doges Bolt, and the Scry ability can actually send a bad card away, unlike Sage.
Sidisi's Faithful
- Versatile card. It can function as pseudo-removal, eat away something useless on our board, or be an early blocker.
Striped Riverwinder
- In here just for the cycling, but can be cast as a 5/5 hexproof body if we're desperate enough. It gets a body in the graveyard, which is important for this deck.
The Drakes
Spire Golem
- Can come down turn 3, and it's 2/4 body means it can face off a Delver and win. Once you get to four or more Islands, this card gets absurd.
Stitched Drake
- The reason we need bodies in the 'Yard, which is not hard to do with our deck. A 3/4 flier for three, which as said before dodges bolt and the like.
Stormbound Geist
- To fit with the theme, I like to pretend he's the ghost of some poor drake that got caught is a storm :(((. Anyways, He's an awesome card, it's a descent flier the first time you cast it, and comes back even better! It can eat removal like nothing and bodies the bird tokens from Battle Screech or Insectile Aberrations.
Wormfang Drake
- Wow, a 3/4 flier for three? That's also a Drake? Almost like there's a theme going on here
