This deck is in it's 4th iteration of combo-awesomeness

Description:

My favorite type of deck to play in magic is a heavy combo deck. This one in particular is my favorite. It took me many weeks to come up with this deck and the arsenal of cards needed to create the wombo-combo commander deck list above. There are a couple combo cards in this deck that stand out most. Aluren is a very strong combo card seen in legacy play. Although not as often anymore because the deck requires 4 copies of Imperial Recruiter which are about 200 a piece, Aluren can provide very fun interactions with lower costing creatures with enter the battlefield (etb) effects. On its own with a Whitemane Lion for example you can create infinite storm, which I ponder adding to this deck very often. Another strong combo piece in this deck is Survival of the Fittest. With this card, not only can you tutor your library for any creature card at 1 green mana a pop, but you can also fill up your graveyard with creatures! This becomes increasing relevant when you decide to tutor for all your human cards then Survival of the Fittest Angel of Glory's Rise. This card is super powerful and allows you also to use the many etb effects your creatures have to your advantage, allowing you to respond to different cards your opponents play. If by now you are starting to get an idea of how this deck plays then this next card: Equilibrium will make you as excited as I am when I see this in my hand. On its own it allows you to bounce any creature for 1 man. Take a moment now and think about 2 of the cards I have already mentioned. Imagine having Equilibrium out with Whitemane Lion in hand. That is a 3 mana instant speed creature bounce with buyback for 0. And even if you counter the creature, you still bounce your opponents! Equilibrium can also be used on your own creatures to replay them if they have useful etb effects. Another powerful combo card that stand out in this deck is Hermit Druid. Of course running no basic lands in this deck means that when Hermit Druid enters and has the chance to activate his ability, you mill your entire library, you could be thinking, well how is that good? I will explain how that will allow you to win the game later on but mostly, the reason is Dread Return a card with flashback that brings a creature from your graveyard to play. This deck has many combos and synergies that you will discover after playing this deck many times. Searching your library is a very common action and dont be surprised if you go infinite on turn 5.

Goal:

The main win-con in this deck is Laboratory Maniac, You can either go infinite with Aluren and use your creatures to draw yourself out, or you can use Hermit Druid. If you dont feel like wining this way, you can either lock down your opponent by taking advantage of creature bouncing and swinging, or you can use your commander, Scion of the Ur-Dragons to become a copy of Moltensteel Dragon and swing for fatal. playing this deck you have the option of winning from control. combo, or aggro. Your choice.

Winning with Combo:

Winning the game with combo can be easy hard or in-between, this is a combo deck after all. one way to win is with Hermit Druid. the steps to winning with Hermit Druid are: play Hermit Druid, activate his ability, proceeding to put your entire library into your graveyard. Narcomoeba will trigger and be put onto the battlefield. next unearth Fatestitcher. use him to untap the land used to play him. Next sacrifice your three creatures to cast Dread Return targeting Angel of Glory's Rise. This will bring back Azami, Lady of Scrolls and Laboratory Maniac. Tap a wizard draw a card, if someone responds, tap a wizard draw a card. There are no more card in your library so you win with Laboratory Maniac. If someone disrupts your combo and your library is already in your graveyard, flashback Memory's Journey from your graveyard. If you have the mana and Angel of Glory's Rise is still in your graveyard, get Reanimate, Riftsweeper and Sensei's Divining Top. Riftsweeper is what you will use to get Memory's Journey back into your library to prevent you from losing from drawing without a library. Another way to win with this deck is Aluren . Once Aluren is in play all you have to do is cast Imperial Recruiter which will get you AEther Adept to bounce and replay Imperial Recruiter to get Cavern Harpy to bounce and replay AEther Adept to bounce and replay Imperial Recruiter to get Coiling Oracle , activate Cavern Harpy bounce ability and replay to bounce and replay AEther Adept to bounce and replay Imperial Recruiter to get Suture Priest . After these creautres are on the battlefield you literally can do anything you want. you can play everthing in your library. You control everything. There are many other combo's in this deck, but I think it would be more interesting not to spoil them all.

Winning with Control:

Winning the game with control is a little bit harder to do, and should not be done every game, or people wont play with you. You are going to want to get either Cloudstone Curio, Crystal Shard, Proteus Staff, Survival of the Fittest or Equilibrium into play. Proteus Staff will allow you to shuffle any of your creatures with used etb effects or bottom your opponents commander which often greatly hinders his/her deck. with Cloudstone Curio your going to bounce any of your other creatures with etb effects as they come in. it will be good to have an AEther Adept in play or some other bounce creature like Venser, Shaper Savant so you can constantly bounce there things. The way to win this battle of attrition is to bounce there things and spend less mana. Also avoid bouncing there things with etb effects if at all possible unless your trying to make friends in a multiplier game. Survival of the Fittest will allow you to get the creature that you need. and if what your doing isn't working, Hermit Druid. Crystal Shard can force them to keep 2 open mana in case they want there creature to stay on the battlefield and it can also be used on your own creatures to reuse etb effects. this can allow you to continually bounce there creatures again with the goal to spend less mana. Equilibrium will also punish your opponent for playing creatures and will generally allow you to bounce all their creatures in play, every turn. If your opponent if playing any effects that give his things hexproof or shroud, this man not be the best strategy. instead look to get value from things like Mystical Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal or Sensei's Divining Top. You can use these cards with Terminus and Banishing Stroke to get rid of a relevant target/ threat the next time you draw for its miracle cost. Keep in mind that you can Terminus on an opponents turn as long as you draw a card and its the first of the turn for you. Try to avoid playing these miracle cards too if the opposing player has Vendilion Clique as his commander or in his hand. You have to resolve the trigger to reveal the miracle card before you cast it, allowing that player to respond to the reveal trigger. Eventually you should be able to go infinite with counter magic or bounce all of their permanents.

Winning with Aggro:

Winning with aggro can be very simple, you will want to have creature removal, maybe a counterspell and one or two creatures to get you to the 5 mana you need to cast Scion of the Ur-Dragon. Once you get enough mana to cast Scion of the Ur-Dragon you are going to wait till you attack. When you have priority moving into combat damage phase, activate his ability and make him a copy of Moltensteel Dragon then simply pump up your commander until he hits for 21 damage, which can cost upwards to 34 life. this is when the counter will be most useful. If your commander connects you win the game, if they attempt to kill your commander, you hopefully can stop them with your counter magic.

This deck can cost thousands of dollars. which could take months and likely years to assemble all the cards unless you already have many year of magic under your belt with many of the cards already in your collection. if you don't have the cards and want to play this deck. I suggest either proxy what you don't have, or playing the deck online.
