lets try this idea with 4 colors
the Combo: Aether Vial on 3, play Cryptic Command counter, draw. tap vial to put an Eternal Witness in to play get back your Cryptic Command. next turn, play Cryptic Command counter, bounce to get back your Eternal Witness. next turn, Aether Vial still on 3, play Cryptic Command counter, draw. tap vial to put an Eternal Witness in to play get back your Cryptic Command.
Ive been playing around with this idea for a while now and couldn't decide on RUG or BUG. it came down to do I want Lightning Bolt or do I want discard like Inquisition of Kozilek. quick combos like Lightning Bolt , Snapcaster Mage , Lightning Bolt for 6 damage to win the game is really awesome to pull off to close it all out. however because of the mana base I need a way to deal with cards like Blood Moon turn one or I will loose to it.
so I decided WTF, I'll go 4 color. the end result is a weird controlling, aggressive, combo deck with tones of draw to keep the gas coming. this is by far one of the most fun decks I have played in a while.
after some deck testing I was worried about the amount of life I loose to my own lands so that I could stabilize. to counteract that I added a single Cruel Ultimatum to spice things up. this card is EPIC! just the 5 life swing is great, but the added card advantage is stellar.
I added Wipe Away as an option to deal with Death's Shadow and let me bounce my creatures to restart the loop.
suggestions are very welcome. I want to make this deck perfect before I invest into it too heavily.
