Welcome To Fireball Town, Aka "Who Is Neheb And Why Am I Taking Over 50 Direct Damage On Turn 5?"

Neheb, the Eternal is a really interesting mono-red commander centered around aggro and burn, and without a doubt one of the greatest mono-red commander so far. His ability to generate a ton of mana out of burning your opponents (which red is great at) can be easily abused by casting Earthquake-like effects who hit every opponent, or even niche dangerous cards such as Goblin Game or Acidic Soil. The massive amount or Red mana that follows can then be funneled into some other BigDumbXSpell, like a Jaya's Immolating Inferno, or an old-fashioned Fireball. That's the base idea! It's a very Simple, very Angry, very Red play style. But most importantly, it's very Effective.

Getting There Faster

With our simple one-two punch strategy, the faster we can untap with Neheb sitting on the battlefield, the better. Since Red isn't known for its great ramp options, around 10-12 simple colorless mana rocks like Star Compass will have to do for our deck. There are some notable ramp options though;

Cryptolith Fragment  ; Not a very efficient mana rock indeed, giving only one mana for the cost of three, but the life lost will give grants us 3 mana on our second main phase with Neheb out, which makes it an auto-include.

Mana Vault; A real pain to have to "skip a turn" to untap it after its first use, but being able to cast Neheb on turn two with a single card is simply not something we can pass on!

Caged Sun; Best case scenario, it's more of a ritual than a ramp card, alongside Mana Geyser, Koth of the Hammer and Treasonous Ogre. They don't allow us to achieve our One-Two punch any faster, BUT they DO allow us to simply One punch on their own if the Neheb plan doesn't work out.

Making Sure We Get There

Most pieces of our deck are overlapping, which helps the consistency of the deck a lot, but there's nothing better than some card advantage to make sure everything falls in place. Notably;

Wheel of Fortune; Just kidding, i don't actually own one (yet), but any similar effect (like Reforge the Soul) is very good.

Knollspine Dragon and Apex of Power are both tools of card advantage that you want to cast on the second main phase with loads of mana, and test your luck to try and get the payoffs you need. Very Red. Very Fun.

If you want to simply upgrade your land value, i would suggest adding Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, because they will both grant us additionnal mana in the late game, one from devotion, one from damage.

Oh yeah, and Aggravated Assault, if you want to go wild.

That's the deck for now, i might make an extended deck plan later on.
