New pirate spotted in aether revolt!! Also heart of kiran and the 7/11 ship are auto includes, as is fatal push joining the ranks of removal spells where people get tossed off ships.

Update: RED PIRATE LEGEND. WTF. anywho, as of AER we are taking this deck in the direction of being a grixis deck, under the command of Marchessa, The black rose. Also joining the ranks are the 3/5 flying ship, and gwendyln dicorci. We get to add more things to add gas to the deck as well, like wheel of fortune, faithless looting, and monkey pirate free spell thing. Also act of treason sounds piratey. This may mean we change up the mill theme and cut back on some treasure elements as we need more space. However we also get zealous conscripts, and maybe my favorite grixis spell ever, CRUEL ULTIMATIUM. Come at me with your red pirate suggestions. New terrible dudes that might make it, like thraximundar, or lord of tresserhorn. Even Orcish cannoneers might have a spot. Oh! Dwarven sea clan, portal winds of change. my oh my. I think I'll keep this list intact for posterity, but I'll link to my grixis list. Yar har fiddle de dee. You are a Pirate. Swapped commanders to Ramirez DePietro, as he can crew vehicles.Also super happy to have had the chance to see Alestorm live, they are a pirate metal band that plays magic! Once I heard that I knew I had to see them live and get them to sign my commander! Well we did it!

This year at gencon (2016) pirates made an evil twin of a progenitus. Made my day. :)

So actually there are not a ton of pirates, I went with a rogue subtheme in addition to a light mill strategy.

Cards i am considering adding:

Quicksilver fountain, To make sure we all have islands

Opposition- Closest thing to boarding action that we've got, makes my little pirates better in combat.

Also considering false demise, academy ruins, old man of the sea, and shadowmage infiltraitor

Every card in the deck must be piratey.
