Grixis Dragons

Dragons are a powerful archetype hidden in the Pioneer card pool. There are many versions of this deck, but Grixis is my personal favorite. Boasting an excellent control package and powerful finishers, this list has the tools to compete with the current meta.

Card Choices:

-Creatures-

Nicol Bolas, the Ravager   - A strong 4 mana flyer with a solid ETB effect, Bolas can defend our life total or go for the kill. At 7 mana, his activated ability allows us to call on one of the best Planeswalkers ever printed.

Glorybringer - A tough beater that also serves as removal on a stick, the ol' Banger is exactly the type of threat this deck needs. Glorybringer can easily turn games around on its own.

Dragonlord Silumgar - Our most expensive threat, and worth every mana. Silumgar often wins games on the spot.

Murderous Rider - A flex creature used for both his Swift End ability and a Lifelink body when necessary. The Rider helps a lot with stabilizing.

Bonecrusher Giant - Another adventure creature, Bonecrusher Giant is one of the best cards in the deck. Both an efficient removal spell and a solid 4/3 body, Bonecrusher is exactly the type of threat this deck wants.

-Planeswalkers-

Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God - One of the most powerful Grixis cards ever printed, the Dragon-God can easily take over an empty board.

-Insants-

Silumgar's Scorn - A dragons exclusive spell, this card is actual Counterspell if we have a dragon.

Opt - Card selection is essential for control decks. Opt allows us to search for the cards we need in the moment.

Fatal Push - The premier one mana removal spell of the format, Push should be included in every black control deck.

-Sorceries-

Thoughtseize - Possibly the best card in the Pioneer format, Thoughtseize is essential for this deck. When used correctly it will cripple the opponents strategy.

Dreadbore - A catch-all removal spell for both creatures and Planeswalkers.

-Sideboard-

My sideboard is constantly changing due to the shifting Pioneer metagame. If you have any questions about how to sideboard with the deck or the choices I have, feel free to ask.

Thanks for checking out my list. I will keep it updated while I'm playing it. Comment below with any questions or suggestions.
