Sideboard

A "burn" deck is an aggressive deck that uses cheap and efficient creatures Goblin Guide Monastery Swiftspear and Eidolon of the Great Revel to deal small points of damage. You then have powerful instants and sorceries that deal most of the time 3 damage such as Lightning Bolt Lava Spike Skullcrack. There are some spells that have added benefits like the before mentioned Skullcrack and Searing Blaze.
Searing Blaze and Skullcrack are absolutely necessary in this type of deck. Searing Blaze is good for dealing with small creatures and dealing 3 damage to target player. Best comparison most of the time is like an Unlicensed Disintegration that always has control of an artifact. 10 fetch lands such as Arid Mesa and Bloodstained Mire help fulfill the landfall requirement for the 3 damage. something to note is that searing blaze has to have a target to cast the spell, and even if the target is removed the spell would still resolve because there was a target it doesnt check to see that there is a creature targeted.

Skullcrack is phanominal as it is a spell that deals 3 damage and makes it so that your opponent cant gain life. One thing to note as well in game 2 you will encounter hate cards like Kor Firewalker etc. if you attack a creature into a kor firewalker and skull crack the creatures will trade because of the relevant text "damage can't be prevented".

Lightning Helix is a card to keep going against super fast aggressive decks including the mirror affinity and infect.

Sideboard cards and what your opponent will bring to the match

A couple decks that are popular in the modern meta include Jund Abzan Affinity, grixis control, GR Valakut Breach etc. according to Modern Meta

So to prepare for the meta we have to evaluate what the opponent will bring and what to base the sideboard off of unfavorable matchups.
Any questions about what to bring in the sideboard and what to cut just ask
