With
Scale Up
coming out in modern horizons here is my take on a mono green infect deck.
First off we got our infect creatures.
Glistener Elf
is our ideal turn 1 drop to immediately put pressure on the opponent.
Blight Mamba
is great if games go a little longer than usual.
Ichorclaw Myr
is also great if games go longer or our opponent gets out a blocker.
Plague Myr
gives us another body on the board as well as the option to tap and pay 2 life to play
Apostle's Blessing
In our pump package we have the following:
Giant Growth
Its classic and will give us 3 more damage to swing in with.
Groundswell
As long as we can keep dropping lands this is pretty much a better giant growth.
Mutagenic Growth
With free +2/+2 this should help the deck secure explosive wins early on.
Scale Up
This card allows us to turn our measly 1/1 infect creatures into 6/4 infect wurms.
Now how are we going to get these creatures to stay on the board?
Blight Mamba
allows us to pay 2 mana to regenerate it
Apostle's Blessing
allows us to pay 1 mana and 2 life to give our creature protection from a color, preventing targeted removal and colored blockers.
Blossoming Defense
provides hexproof and some nice pump at the cost of 1 mana.
In case the opponent sets up blockers and we aren't going to get through early enough to finish them theres always plan B: Swing again.
Infiltration Lens
can help us refill our hand in case the opponent tries to chump our infect creature.
Rancor
allows us to boost a creature with trample to make sure we get some poison on our opponent.
Finally we have our landbase its pretty simple.
Forest
Since we are monocolored we don't need to run dual lands
Pendelhaven
provides pump in case we don't use
Scale Up
and comes in untapped
If you have the budget for it or already have em feel free to swap 4 forests for 4
Inkmoth Nexus
This deck theoretically can pull off some crazy turn 2 wins.
Ideally the opponent should be finished off by turn 3
