This is my competitive storm deck helmed by Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder. This deck aims to cast Ad Nauseam as early as turn 1. Once we have a full grip of cards, the deck goes off. Our mana rocks are low in cost, almost every spell is a cantrip or tutors for something relevant. If by chance you are stopped mid storm, we have Doomsday to rely on. Doomsday is a tricky card to make work. I have seen many pilots mess up their pile order and lose the game, myself included.

Storm

This is our primary win condition. If we can stick an Ad Nauseam or draw enough cards off of Mystic Remora early on, the game is all but over.

The best turn 1-2 play looks a little like this: Turn 1; Lotus Petal, Mox Opal, Mana Crypt, Mana Confluence . End Step Prior to Turn 2; Ad Nauseam, Pay down to roughly 6-10 life. From this point on, you should have a hand full of cards, and all the mana to cast them. A lot of the spells replace themselves or give you mana. I always prioritize my mana rocks, and hope to hit a Paradox Engine . With Paradox Engine on the field, you can go infinite with Isochron Scepter and a mana rock or two. Other near infinite storm counts are generated from Future Sight , Sensei's Divining Top, and Helm of Obedience.

There are plenty of ways to storm off, this is just the easiest and most common way I have.

Doomsday

This is not my strong suit. I am not the best person to explain or even cast doomsday. This spell takes a very meticulous pilot who knows everything about their deck. Doomsday is a fantastic way to win the game, however it is extraordinarily difficult to someone as unpracticed as I. Doomsday wins come from Laboratory Maniac. Essentially you draw through the last five cards of your library, cast Laboratory Maniac, and win the game. It is a lot easier said than done, and I suggest if you want a further explanation on all the different Doomsday Piles, please check out Reddit. There are tons of posts regarding Doomsday and how to make it work. They list all the different pile configurations, and lay it out simply what you need to do. Doomsday can change based on what you have left, so there is never one sure fire guaranteed way to win every time. It is a very reactive card.

Conclusion

The deck has potential, and has won many games. This is my paper list, and it will change as the deck changes. If you like the deck, feel free to comment, upvote, or make suggestions. All feedback is welcome. Thank you for taking the time to read this and look at my deck.

Updates Add

Deck went off on turn 1 the other day. I did not know that was possible.

Line of play:

Turn 1: Fetchland for Underground Sea, cast Mana Crypt, tap crypt for Grim Monolith, cast Lotus Petal, Cast Ad Nauseam, Go to 6 Life.

Needless to say the other player was very salty. Dirty deck is dirty.

EDIT: I also went first. Force of Will or Commandeer would have been the only things I can think of to stop me.
