So this is a mardu deck i've been using at my LGS for modern events. I think the basic idea, is that no matter what we're up against, [Thughtseize] and [Lingering Souls] is probably good against it. 3/4 events i'm usually top 4, along side the [Death's Shadow], Tron, Boggles, and Soul Sisters players. This is not the fastest deck, the primary idea is to gum up the ground and air with tokens while just getting more value out of my cards. Some oddities in the list to note.

[Boros Reckoner]: This card is great against creature decks. It is almost always a 2 for 1. No one likes to attack into this guy.

[Elspeth, Sun's Champion]: This costs a lot, but it's very good at stabilizing the board. Against a bunch of big dumb guys? wipe. Against a bunch of small creatures? dudes. The most reliable finisher in the deck other than simply having a million tokens from other outlets.

[Blood Baron of Vizkopa]: Want to know what two colors are used a lot in modern? black and white. Realistically this is just a 4/4 prot. black white with lifelink,the bottom paragraph is just flavor text. There are very few occurrences, at least at my lgs, where Blood Baron is a dead card. A lot of the time him being able to attack each turn while holding the fort with tokens is another common win condition.

This has been a pretty enjoyable deck to play, tron and boggles were the hardest matchups at my LGS. If the boggles player showed up I'd bring in my [Barter in Blood]s from my collection, and that usually helps a lot.
