This deck is basically built around the "ferocious" mechanic -- the mechanic that rewards you for having creatures with power 4 or greater. There isn't really a good commander for this, but Yasova Dragonclaw works fine as a placeholder for now. Hopefully, there will be a new and preferably cheap, Izzet partner that can be paired with Halana, Kessig Ranger in Commander Legends.

In the meantime, My goal was to play as many 2 mana or less creatures with 4 power or greater. The list isn't bad, frankly. Most have some downsides, but there were definitely worse options. In the meantime, the payoffs are great: mostly drawing lots and lots of cards so that you'll never be out of the game. I'd like to find a way to squeeze Gate to the Afterlife and God-Pharaoh's Gift into the list. Maybe I could go down 2 lands? I'm hesitant to do that, but the curve is really efficient.

Also, the deck is budget-friendly!
