Tiny Zo-Zu

Tiny Leaders*

Sideboard

This deck is mostly focused on incremental damage and burn. Land destruction, IMO, is useless in this format since we lack MLD and the CMC is so low, so it is mostly focusing on being a burn/control deck. Any input you may have would be greatly appreciated. The only MLD combo I have in this deck is Ghost Quarter + Tectonic Instability + Price of Glory. Tectonic instability is boarded in for Abzan/Junk decks since they dedicate most of their mana towards their turn with versatile sorcery and creatures.

Ideally, we punish them for developing their board state at all. This is an experiment, I feel it has the capability to attack the right meta, since many decks are built around low-costed dual and tri-colored lands.

For the board, Ensnaring Bridge is also boarded in for Junk/Tokens, likewise with pyroclasm. REB and Pyroblast are my go-to answers for Shu-Yun and vendillion clique. I can burn her off.

Against tempo, this deck is pretty solid if it can drop zozu early enough.

This deck has huge trouble against the super early aggro decks, since it won't stabilize by the time they''ve dumped their hands. Pyroblast and Volcanic fallout are the go-to answers, despite slagstorm and Anger of the Gods in main.

It is really preferred to hold one of the burn spells in hand to use on their commander if they drop it turn 2-3 and burn it. Drop Zo-zu and they have to take 4 before they can get their general back out.
