JUNDAMN!!!

Conception: In the process of building an 8RACKdos deck I realized with just a few adjustments I could transform it into Jund.

The archetype of the deck is based off my Rock build that users on this site gave great reception towards before it was taken down a while ago (it's up again on my profile if anyone's interested; geared towards combating Abzan Rhinos).

Let's take a look at some choices that stand out:

Dark Confidant is a mainstay here. For now I have 2 and may increase the amount if I can find room. Though Jund's brethren have somewhat denied DC further entry into their builds as a result of saving life points, he is still viable to our players. We can't forget that we are the more aggressive spectrum of Rock and that we accept, "Greatness, at any Cost."

Spellskite to protect any win conditions that we have managed to stick and would like them to for the long haul. Some obvious choices are: Dark Confidant, Grim Lavamancer, Olivia Voldaren, stolen creatures, etc.

Sword of Light and Shadow* mitigates life point loss and at the same time makes our threats more threatening. Attach to anything you see fit. Sword mainboard gives us the advantage in the mirror.

*As good as this is, it MAY be too slow for us. Play testing will ensue. A few aggressive substitutes come to mind:

Trying something a little different. Mitigating life-loss from DC and cutting Olivia to keep the cmc closer to the ground while adding threats with incidental life-gain. Added a play set of Nighthawk. Can wreak havoc w/ the sword too.

-1 Slaughter Pact -1 Dark Confidant -2 Olivia Voldaren

+4 Vampire Nighthawk
